AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Medical Association has created a handy chart to help Americans determine how risky everyday activities are when it comes to contracting the novel coronavirus.From opening the mail to going to a bar, TMA’s COVID-19 Task Force and Committee on Infectious Diseases have ranked activities on their risk level for COVID-19.The activities are broken down into these levels: low risk, low-moderate risk, moderate risk, moderate-high risk, and high risk.TMA says the levels are based on input from the physician members of the task force and the committee, who worked from the assumption that – no matter the activity – participants were taking as many safety precautions as they can.No matter the activity, TMA says it’s best if you stay home if possible, wear a mask and maintain at least 6 feet of distance when you have to go out, and practice safe hand hygiene.TMA’s task force is made up of 15 physicians who are experts and leaders in medicine, some of whom are in direct patient care.The task force has researched and written in the neighborhood of 25 whitepapers and guidance documents to help inform Texas physicians as they battle the COVID-19 coronavirus. Well, that's precisely what Chipotle Mexican Grill is going to use on their new clothing and accessories line Chipotle Goods.According to a news release that was released Monday, the company will use the pits that are leftover from some of their restaurants that will be "upcycled" to create "natural avo dyed goods.""We know people are looking to celebrate their passion for Chipotle, and we set out to create a line of products with the same thoughtfulness, care, and attention to detail that we use in our kitchens," said Chris Brandt, Chipotle chief marketing officer in the news release. ATLANTA - In a memo this week, Delta Airlines’ CEO told staff nearly 700 passengers have been placed on the no-fly list in 2020 for refusing to comply with policies requiring masks on planes.This is a sharp increase from the 460 banned passengers the airline reported in October. Delta and other airlines have been adding mask rule-breaking passengers to the no-fly list since early in the pandemic.Delta is not alone, latest numbers from United report about 430 passengers of that airline have been added to the no-fly list for not following their mask policy, and 88 have been banned from JetBlue flights.A Department of Defense study found that masks, combined with airplanes’ air filtration systems, can greatly reduce the risk of transmitting the coronavirus during a flight.While that sounds like a lot of passengers, Delta told Fox News they are flying about 1 million customers per week.In the message to staff Wednesday, Delta’s CEO Ed Bastian thanked employees for taking unpaid leave and manage reductions in hours earlier this year, which helped them be one of the few airlines that avoided involuntary furloughs. Ground workers and headquarters employees were cut to three or four days a week.However, he is now asking employees again to take unpaid leaves of absence to help the company save money, according to the staff memo. Australia is ordering automakers to recall more than two million vehicles fitted with potentially deadly airbags.The Australian government said Wednesday that the cars contain airbags made by Takata, the Japanese company at the heart of a scandal that has led to tens of millions of vehicle recalls around the world in recent years.Takata airbags have been linked to at least 23 deaths globally, including one in Australia, according to a statement by the Australian Treasury. A defect can cause the airbags to explode and blast shrapnel into drivers and passengers.Voluntary recalls in Australia have previously been announced by big car brands including BMW, Chevrolet, Honda, Nissan, and Toyota. But the government said those steps haven't been enough to deal with the danger, leaving around 2.3 million vehicles with the defective airbags still on the country's roads."The voluntary recall process has not been effective in some cases, and some manufacturers have not taken satisfactory action to address the serious safety risk which arises after the airbags are more than six years old," said Michael Sukkar, an assistant Australian Treasury minister.The new compulsory recall includes models made by major carmakers such as Ford, Mercedes Benz, Tesla and Volkswagen.The total number of affected cars in Australia is 4 million, or nearly one in five passenger vehicles on the country's roads. All the faulty Takata airbags have to be replaced by the end of 2020, according to the government.Wednesday's announcement followed an investigation by Australia's consumer watchdog, the Treasury said.Takata's faulty airbags have led to massive recalls around the world over the past decade.
