SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A suspect who reportedly sexually assaulted a female student at Mesa College has been taken into custody Friday night, according to the San Diego Community College Police.The sexual assault happened around 1:30 p.m. on the grassy area outside the Mesa College LRC.The suspect reportedly walked with the woman before pinning her down in the grass and trying to put his hand down her pants and under her shirt.Police released no further details about the suspect Saturday.  509

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A woman leaving a Rancho Pe?asquitos car wash pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake, sending her car into a restaurant Friday, a photographer at the scene told 10News. The crash happened at Genie Car Wash at 9821 Carmel Mountain Road just after 1 p.m. The woman drove her Ford SUV out of the car wash and hit five vehicles being dried by their owners. Eventually, the woman crashed into a support beam of the Sushi Hana Restaurant, coming to a stop. Everyone inside the restaurant was evacuated, the OnScene photographer reported. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A woman is dead after a shooting in the Skyline area, Saturday afternoon. San Diego Police detectives said around 5:30 pm, two cars were traveling northbound on Meadowbrook Drive. Both drivers stopped at the red light at Skyline Drive. Then, the passengers got into an argument. "Our victim got out of the second vehicle and approached the front vehicle on the passenger side," Homicide Lt. Matt Dobbs said. Meanwhile, the motive of the shooting remains unknown. Police describe the shooter as a Black man in his 20's, driving a black Mercedes Benz. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A woman died Friday morning after she was hit by a vehicle while walking in a Mira Mesa crosswalk.The victim, who has yet to be identified, was crossing the 9200 block of Capricorn Way in a crosswalk at about 9:45 a.m. when she was hit by a vehicle, San Diego Police said. The woman, believed to be in her 40s, died at the scene.Police later found the driver, a 31-year-old man, and his vehicle, a black 2004 Nissan Titan. Police said the driver was making a right turn from Black Mountain Rd. onto Capricorn Wy. when he fatally struck the woman with his vehicle. SDPD did not say if any arrests have been made. Traffic Division Officers were still investigating the incident Friday afternoon. 720

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A woman struck by a hit-and-run driver on a Logan Heights street suffered life-threatening injuries Friday, San Diego Police said. The crash happened about 11 a.m. in the 700 block of Cesar Chavez Parkway at Kearney Avenue. A white Ford F-150 pickup truck was driving west and struck a woman also heading west on the north sidewalk, police said. The truck made a right turn onto Kearney Avenue and struck the woman. The driver did not stop to help the woman and continued north on Kearney Avenue, according to investigators. The 52-year-old victim suffered major head trauma. Police said the truck had a tinted back window and a white California sticker. Anyone with information can call the San Diego Police Department. 747
