BEIJING, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- China on Monday strongly condemned a bomb attack on the Central Mosque in northwest Kano, Nigeria that left at least 120 killed and more than 270 injured on Friday.
The case dates back to April, when Chinese police confiscated 13 kg of methamphetamine, popularly known as ice, in south China's Guangdong and eastern Shandong Province, detaining several drug dealers whose organization was later found to have links to many cities as well as Indonesia.
"The reopening of the Chinese embassy in Somalia is a significant move by China in supporting Somalia's peace process and post-war reconstruction," spokesman Hong Lei told a regular press conference.
"The purpose of my visit is to implement the important consensus reached by the two countries' heads of state, and to push for more fruitful results in bilateral cooperation," he said.
China stands ready to cultivate stable, peaceful and friendly relations with its ASEAN neighbors, he said.
