DANE COUNTY, Wisc. — A Whitefish Bay boy who underwent heart surgery, and a piglet that jumped out of a moving truck. These two completely different events would serendipitously come together to inspire our community, which is why it is Positively Milwaukee.It has been a long journey for six-year-old Tristan Zick and “Maxwell the Pig.” They met for the first time at Heartland Farm Sanctuary, just outside Madison.To say Tristan is a fan of pigs would be an understatement.“Pigs are my favorite animal," Tristan squealed. "I love piggies!”Maxwell made it to the sanctuary after leaping out of a truck to his freedom. He is now all healed from his wounds.This is something Tristan can relate to. He had heart surgery nine months ago, and so did his stuffed pig.His mom Stacy adds, “What was wonderful was that he was able to take care of the little pig, and I think that alleviated his pain because he was looking after his little stuffed pig. It was so cute!”When Tristan’s birthday rolled around this year, they came across Maxwell’s story. In lieu of gifts, the family raised money to help the piggy recover. The family even hosted a drive-thru bake sale, where the family baked pig-shaped cookies.Stacy shares what blew her away most of all, “[The sanctuary worker] asked what Tristan’s birthday was, and I told him. Debate moderator Chris Wallace struggled to keep control of the debate, frequently trying to keep President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden from interrupting each other.While Wallace at several points told Biden to allow Trump to speak, Wallace frequently told the president to stop interrupting, and at one point reminded Trump of the debate rules.“I hate to raise my voice but why should I be different than two of you,” Wallace said. “So here's the deal. DEL MAR, Calif. (KGTV) -  Race horse Irish Spring died after falling during the last race at the Del Mar Racetrack Saturday evening.Jockey Corey Nakatani was riding him while Geovanni Franco was riding Bitter Ring Home, who tripped over Irish Spring.The jockeys were both alert and talking but were taken off the track in neck braces as a precaution, said Mac McBride with the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club.McBride said Irish Spring fell after clipping heels with a horse that cut in front of him during the final stretch of the race. Bitter Ring Home then tripped over Irish Spring but did not appear to be injured.After the accident, the jockeys were lying on the grass near the inner rail. A horse ambulance and a regular ambulance were immediately brought onto the track.  825

Despite not meeting the original requirement of playing a minimum of six games this season, the Big Ten voted to allow Ohio State to participate in the Big Ten Championship Game for December 19.The No. 4-ranked Buckeyes were slated to play their sixth game of the year on Saturday against archrival Michigan, but a coronavirus outbreak prompted the Wolverines to cancel their matchup against OSU. The cancelation was announced on Tuesday.The move leaves No. 12 Indiana out of the title game. The Buckeyes previously defeated Indiana, giving the Hoosiers their lone loss of the season.“The decision was based on a competitive analysis which determined that Ohio State would have advanced to the Big Ten Football Championship Game based on its undefeated record and head-to-head victory over Indiana regardless of a win or loss against Michigan,” the Big Ten said in a statement.Ohio State is slated to take on No. 14 Northwestern in the title game.A huge factor likely came down to Ohio State’s chances of making the coveted four-team College Football Playoff. The CFP uses conference championships as part of its formula in selecting the top four teams in the country. Death Wish Nitro Cold Brew cans because the current process could lead to the growth and production of botulin.Botulism is a potentially fatal form of food poisoning and can cause symptoms like weakness, dizziness, double vision, difficult breathing and more.They have halted the production of the Nitro Cold Brew until an additional step in the manufacturing process is implemented.They have also removed cans from the comapny's online stores.The company said they will make sure everyone who bought the product on their website receives a full refund within 60 days.So far, no illnesses have been reported. 811
