SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — First responders were called to a downtown San Diego intersection after a San Diego Sheriff's inmate transfer van and Tesla collided Wednesday.The crash was reported at Sixth Ave. and A St. just before 3 p.m. after the Tesla reportedly side-swiped the inmate van. There were 12 inmates on the van, plus to driver and a sheriff's deputy, according to San Diego Police.The inmates were evaluated by first responders on the van, but no one was transported to the hospital, police said. 509

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Firefighters responded after a fire broke out in an abandoned building in San Diego’s Lincoln Park neighborhood Saturday morning. The fire started inside a building on Ocean View Boulevard and 47th Street around 9:30 a.m. Large plumes of black smoke could be seen from miles away. The building that caught fire is owned by a nearby church. According to a church official, the building was used to help house the homeless. The official told 10News the church recently told those staying in the building they had to leave after several incidents.At this time, it’s unclear what started the fire or if anyone was injured.
