FULTON COUNTY, Indiana — Three children were killed in a crash Tuesday morning while waiting for a school bus in Fulton County, Indiana.The crash happened at about 7:30 a.m. local time. Four total students were hit, according to Indiana State Police.Three were killed, the fourth was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital. The three students who were killed were from the same family, according to Indiana State Police. The fourth is not related.Alyssa Shepherd, 24, has been charged with three counts of reckless homicide and one count of passing a school bus while it's arm is extended causing injury. Police claim that she did not stop despite the stop arm of the bus being extended. Police said that Shepherd has been cooperative in their investigation. The children killed were 6-year-old twin boys and a 9-year-old girl. The boy taken to Fort Wayne is 11 years old. From celebrities to the everyday women, shapewear has become a wardrobe staple.   Dr. Stephen New of Rose Medical Center says depending on how tight you wear them, they could have can have ramifications to your health.  "If shapewear with its tight compression, I would expect symptoms, especially if it was pushing against the stomach," Dr. New says.For most women who wear shapewear, it's only for a few hours. Dr. New says those side effects would then be temporary.   "It could cause acid reflux symptoms and certainly exacerbate gas and bloating-like symptoms, which is uncomfortable as well," the doctor says.However, if you're someone who makes these apart of your everyday wardrobe, the long-term effects are dangerous.  "Where is acid reflux in a very, very small number of patients could contribute to inflammation scar tissue inflammation or narrowing of the esophagus," Dr. New explains.So, if you plan to wear shapewear under your holiday dresses this season, or really any day, Dr. New says to limit the time you’re in them and make sure they aren't digging into you.    1132

Here in the U.S., states are handling vaccine distribution in different ways.Most are going with health care workers in direct contact with COVID-19 patients first, but plans could change.“So, we need to set realistic expectations that there will be guidance that's different in different states. The guidance will evolve as we get more and more vaccines. And that doesn't mean anything's wrong or we've changed our minds, it’s just the way it's going to roll out,” said Stacy Hall, Director of Louisiana’s Public Health Immunization Program.Louisiana plans to let its hospitals and EMS distribute the first doses to their staffs. It’s a strategy not just to protect the valuable workers, but to hopefully get the public on board.“I'm really eager for them as the first group to really learn the science about the vaccine and step up and be vaccinated. I think that'll set our whole campaign in Louisiana and nationally on the right track,” said Hall.As for the cold storage of the vaccine, Louisiana doesn't see it as overly challenging.They also plan to use the state immunization information system to track who needs second doses and where the vaccine is being used most.“I want us to keep going back to that. There will be challenges and issues, but what a wonderful opportunity to make a change in the trajectory of the pandemic,” said Hall.The reality is, it will be months before the general public will get the vaccine at a pharmacy or drive thru. 1464

Funeral arrangements are set for Mollie Tibbetts, a University of Iowa student whose body was found  earlier this week. Services will be held at Brooklyn, Guernsey, and Malcom High School in Tibbetts' hometown of Brooklyn, Iowa.
