Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker revised his financial disclosure forms five times after being appointed to the top Justice Department role earlier this month, according to the forms, which were released Tuesday.Revisions to disclosure filings are not uncommon, but the release of Whitaker's forms comes amid pressure from government watchdog groups who raised concerns in recent days about why their requests for the documents had gone unfulfilled.The forms show that in the months before then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions hired him as chief of staff in 2017, Whitaker was paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in salary from a conservative oversight group he founded in 2014.Financial records show that The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust, or FACT, received nearly all of its funding from a group called DonorsTrust, whose contributors are mostly anonymous but are known to include major Republican donor Charles Koch.Whitaker was paid a total of 4,000 over 2016 and most of 2017, according to his first disclosure form.CNN has previously reported that Whitaker made a total of 7,000 while working for FACT from 2014 to 2016. This figure covers some of the same period reflected in Whitaker's newly released financial disclosure form.Whitaker's financial disclosure documents were provided to CNN by the Justice Department and American Oversight, an outside ethics watchdog group.After the forms were released Tuesday, the non-profit watchdog group Citizens for Ethics in Washington noted that Whitaker's submission was edited five times since his appointment on November 7 and said it had filed a Freedom of Information Act request for all versions of the filing.Whitaker also earned nearly ,000 from World Patent Marketing, a Florida company that was shut down by the FTC and referred to as a "scam" in court documents, in 2016, according to one of the forms.Whitaker was named as an advisory board member of the company in 2014 and was paid at least ,375 from October 2014 to February 2016, according to a payment record previously reported by CNN.Whitaker also made ,000 as a legal commentator for CNN in 2017.In a letter sent to the US Office of Government Ethics last Friday, American Oversight said the Department of Justice had not produced a copy of Whitaker's public financial disclosure reports, despite regulations requiring it to do so, and asked the ethics agency to investigate.American Oversight on Monday also released work-related emails sent by first daughter and presidential adviser Ivanka Trump from a personal email account.Three Senate Democrats filed a new lawsuit Monday challenging Trump's installation of Whitaker, who has never served in a Senate-confirmed position, as acting attorney general following the President's firing of Sessions days after the midterm elections.Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee took turns bashing him at a hearing last week, calling into question the legality of his appointment and demanding he recuse himself from the Russia investigation, which he had questioned in media appearances before joining the government.Sen. Instead, President Trump signed an executive order for Lost Wage Assistance, while Congress is still in a stalemate over a new stimulus package.Until the president’s order kicks in, after states apply for the help and get approved, everyone on unemployment is being forced to live off their respective state's normal unemployment benefit. In many states, the average benefit payout is meager, at best.“The national average for unemployment dropped from nearly 0 a week to just 8 a week in June of this year, because so many low wage workers were losing their jobs,” said Andrew Stettner, a senior fellow at The Century Foundation.Stettner has been heavily researching and analyzing unemployment benefits with the New York and D.C.-based independent think tank. Part of his research and analysis shows low-wage workers could be getting far less than that average state weekly benefit. For example, in a state like Hawaii, some low wage workers could be getting the state’s minimum payout of just a week right now. In other states like Louisiana, Connecticut, North Carolina, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Delaware, minimums aren’t much higher, ranging between to per week.“All but nine states have minimum benefits below 0 per week,” Stettner added.Understanding states’ minimums and how little some workers could now be getting per week is important because it will impact their eligibility for the president’s executive order.“If you don’t get more than 0 in unemployment benefits a week from the state, you can’t get Trump's new Lost Wage Assistance,” explained Stettner.Lost Wage Assistance is an additional 0 a week from the federal government for those on unemployment and is supposed to be available until Dec. 27, 2020. Essentially, right now, it is the only stopgap in place to help those unemployed, but it won’t help those who may need help the most. That’s why many are urging Congress to quickly come to an agreement on the next stimulus bill that helps everyone struggling.“I think there is the will to continue federal unemployment employment benefits, Trump’s executive order. Trump’s executive order promises them through December 27, but there is not enough money to fulfill that promise. So, I think there is the will to do the right thing but there is a lot getting in the way,” said Stettner. 2718

He says we need to better understand what those two people had an allergic reaction to.“This isn’t kind of completely out of the blue," Dr. Moss said. "These kinds of things are rare events, but they sometimes occur, and it’s usually to some kind of component or chemical in the vaccine that the individual’s immune system is responding to in a very abnormal way, creating this very intense allergic reaction.”Even though it’s rare, Dr. Moss says it’s important to provide clarity on issues like this so people can trust the information they’re getting is reliable and true. "These are not genetically altering vaccines. That Messenger RNA stays in the cytoplasm. It’s basically just a code for our bodies to make the spike protein of the SARS coronavirus-2 and then induce our immune response.”One internet resource that can help you discern which sources offer actual facts is NewsGuard. Almost a week after Hurricane Michael shredded the Florida Panhandle, more bodies of victims are emerging.On Tuesday, a search dog discovered the body of a man in the decimated city of Mexico Beach.
