Xi called for closer synergy of China-CEE cooperation mechanism and the development of the Belt and Road, in a bid to forge lasting and practical China-CEE cooperation.
During the visit, Xi and his Serbian counterpart, Tomislav Nikolic, inked a joint statement to upgrade their two countries' relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership, injecting fresh vigor into the China-Serbia traditional friendship and bringing more tangible benefits to the two peoples.
The two countries should also enhance joint actions to address global issues and deliver more public goods, he said.
Dozens of heads of state and governments attended China's Victory Day celebrations on Sept. 3, 2015. The event commemorated the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II.
