The only catch is instead of the lessons being 1-on-1, each lesson is with a group of five to 20 students at a time.“It’s really a tremendous benefit for people who still need to get great education with quality teachers but simply it is out of their range to do private lessons,” said Cox.For some families, though, even a month is more than they can afford, so Take Lessons now has a free option. This option allows students to watch a live lesson, but instead of video chatting with a tutor, they have to message them. The groups of students in these live sessions are also much larger.“It is our way of giving back that I believe right now and where we are as a country is needed more than anything else,” added Cox.Take Lessons is not the only organization offering affordable and free help.“There are a lot of free resources that are available,” said Francesco Lecciso, co-founder of Brainfuse.Brainfuse has partnered with hundreds of public libraries around the country to provide free online live tutoring. Brainfuse provides the platform and the libraries provide the free, live tutors available to students in almost every state.To access the free resource, Brainfuse recommends contacting your local library. It has the portal system and user information to gain free access.Between Brainfuse, Take Lesson, and other services out there, online learning can be a more equitable experience and one that helps all students thrive. “One of the advantages is there are so many options, so you can observe your child and see what works best,” said Lecciso. "Some kids work best just going through self-paced lessons and other kids need human mediation, so seek that out through free resources.” 2462

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – Florida has recorded its youngest death from COVID-19, a 9-year-old girl.Kimora Lynum died last Saturday in Putnam County, a community located between Jacksonville and Orlando.Her family says Kimmie had no underlying health conditions when she developed a very high fever.Relatives say Kimmie was taken to the hospital for treatment, but was sent home. The child collapsed a short time later and died after her heart failed.Her family has no idea how or where Kimmie contracted coronavirus. President Donald Trump signed a 0 billion stimulus bill on Sunday, with some of those funds going toward direct payments for millions of Americans. While the bill has been signed into law, there are still a number of unknowns about the bill.Here is what is known:- Congress has authorized that most Americans making less than ,000 a year will get a direct payment of 0 (couples making less than 0,000 a year will get ,200). Heads of households making 4,500 annually also will receive the full 0.- Those making ,000 to ,000 (0,000 to 4,000 for couples) will get a prorated check. Those making over ,000 (4,000 for couples) will not receive a check.- Once again, young adults considered dependents of their parents are not eligible for the payments.- The amount given per child under the age of 17 will increase from 0 to 0.- Americans will receive the second round of stimulus checks the same way they received the first one.- While most Americans who received a stimulus check in the spring will receive one, changes to income between 2018 and 2019 could alter payments.What is unknown:- Will Congress authorize an increase of the direct payments from 0 to ,000. Trump called on an increase to direct payments, which got support from the House on Monday, mostly due to strong Democratic support.
