The lawyer for one of the women suing President Donald Trump for defamation is seeking recordings of "The Apprentice" from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.Former "Apprentice" contestant Summer Zervos filed a lawsuit against Trump in January 2017, in which she alleged that Trump defamed her in 2016 after she said he sexually assaulted her in 2007.Her lawyer, Mariann Wang, is also seeking hotel records from the Beverly Hills Hotel."We are gathering evidence that will prove that (the) defendant lied when he falsely denigrated Ms. Zervos and denied sexually assaulting her," Wang said.MGM owns the archives of "The Apprentice" and Wang wants the company to hand over all documents, video or audio that feature Zervos or Trump talking about Zervos and any recording in which Trump speaks of women in a sexual or inappropriate manner.Zervos' attorney also wants to depose an MGM representative to inquire about how recordings of "The Apprentice" are stored and maintained, who has access to them, and when if ever they were transferred or destroyed.The subpoena asks for "(a)ll video and audio recordings that include Donald J. The man suspected of killing and wounding multiple people at Strasbourg's famed Christmas market was killed by French police, following a shoot-out not far from the scene of Tuesday's attack.Authorities announced Friday a fourth person had died as a result of being shot by the suspect, and 12 others are wounded.Cherif Chekatt, the 29-year old suspect, was shot dead on Thursday evening, two days after he first disappeared sparking a massive manhunt involving hundreds of police officers, soldiers and anti-terror specialists from three European countries.French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said police recognized a man who looked like Chekatt walking on the street in Strasbourg's Neudorf district on Thursday night and approached him. He opened fire on officers when they tried to question him, he said.Police returned fire, killing the suspect, Castaner said."As I am speaking to you, I am thinking about the victims and the wounded. I am thinking of those close to them. I am thinking of Strasbourg and France that was hit by this terrible attack," Castaner said.On Thursday, Strasbourg police said the death toll from the attack had risen to three, after one person succumbed to their injuries. He exchanged fire with security forces, suffering an injury to his arm. The New York attorney general is investigating the parent company of MoviePass, a source familiar with the probe confirmed to CNN Business.The state is looking into whether Helios and Matheson (HMNY) misled investors about its finances, the source said. The investigation is being conducted under New York's Martin Act, an anti-fraud and investor protection law. The existence of the probe was first reported Wednesday by CNBC.The movie subscription service exploded in popularity last year when it began offering customers the ability to watch as many movies in theaters as they wanted for per month. But that business model proved unsustainable, and the company has since changed its subscription plans and pricing as well as the number of movies it makes available to its customers.As the company's troubles worsened this year, its stock price also cratered.Helios and Matheson stock was trading at an all-time high of nearly a share in October 2017. Now the stock is trading at 2 cents — and that's after the company approved a reverse split to boost the price 250-fold earlier this summer.Nasdaq has even warned Helios and Matheson that it could delist the stock.Helios and Matheson and MoviePass did not respond to requests for comment Wednesday.The company is wrestling with other problems as well.Board member Carl Schramm, an economist and Syracuse University professor, recently quit his job and claimed that executives mismanaged the business and withheld crucial information from the board.Purported stockholders have filed two federal class-action complaints against Helios and Matheson in August, claiming the company made "materially false or misleading" statements to the market. The company said at the time that it intended to "vigorously defend" itself and believed the complaints were "without merit."Last month, the company filed new paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission indicating that it was going to ask shareholders to vote on another reverse split — one that this time could increase the stock by as much as 500-fold.That meeting was scheduled to happen Thursday. The New York State Health Department is investigating a reported Chainsmokers concert that was held in the Hamptons over the weekend after a video posted to Twitter showed a massive crowd, not social distancing.Gov. Andrew Cuomo shared the video on Twitter Monday night, calling the gathering and lack of social distancing “egregious.”“I am appalled,” the governor said. “We have no tolerance for the illegal [and] reckless endangerment of public health.”The governor called on the event's "gross violations of not only the health rules, it was a gross violation of common sense.The state is conducting a full investigation into why the town issued a permit for the event.The crowd was reportedly attending a Chainsmokers concert in Southampton on Saturday that was billed as a “drive-in” event, although dozens of people could be seen standing in front of the stage.The investigation comes amid a state-level crackdown on social distancing violations, mainly focused on bars and restaurants, in an attempt to keep New York's coronavirus numbers down.Over 130 violations were issued to establishments in New York City and on Long Island from Friday through Sunday, according to Cuomo.
