CINCINNATI, Ohio - Cincinnati Reds and Fox Sports Ohio broadcaster Thom Brennaman tells WCPO he has resigned from his position more than one month after he was suspended for using a homophobic slur on air.“My family and I have decided that I am going to step away from my role as the television voice of the Cincinnati Reds,” Brennaman wrote to WCPO. “I would like to thank the Reds, Reds fans, and the LGBTQ community for the incredible support and grace they have shown my family and me.“Brennaman has been suspended from the Cincinnati Reds since the Aug. 19 incident. He had been with the Reds since 2006.“I have been in this profession that I love for 33 years,” he wrote. “It is my hope and intention to return. CORONADO, Calif. (KGTV) – A woman was treated for smoke inhalation Wednesday night after a boat caught fire near Coronado. According to Harbor Police, authorities received a call about the fire just before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night near Zu?iga Point.When crews arrived on scene, no flames were visible, however, a woman aboard the boat at the time of the fire was treated on scene for smoke inhalation. Harbor Police say the fire is being investigated to see whether or not it was caused by an electrical issue. 520

Coca-Cola said Friday that it would offer buyouts to 4,000 employees as part of corporate restructuring and said that layoffs could be coming in the future.According to a press release, the buyouts will be offered to employees in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico with a hire date "on or before" Sept. 1, 2017. The company said the "voluntary program" would reduce the number of layoffs.According to Coca-Cola's statement, the company's current operating model consists of "17 business units" that will be consolidated into "nine operating units."Following the announcement, Coca-Cola's stock price rose nearly a point in early trading, an increase of just under 2%.According to WSB-TV, Coca-Cola has more than 86,000 employees nationwide. COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus police chief announced action to terminate the officer who fatally shot a Black man. He also filed two departmental charges alleging critical misconduct against Officer Adam Coy. "After an expedited investigation, I have sustained those charges. Based on these findings I am recommending discipline of termination of Officer Adam Coy," Police Chief Tom Quinlan said in a video that was uploaded to the police department's Facebook page on Thursday. 486
