Forget the shirt and shoes; no service for people on horseback at Starbucks in Anthem, Arizona. A Valley girl is frustrated after trying to ride her horse through the drive-thru when the barista said nay. Aspen Cline had seen internet videos of others riding their horses through the Starbucks drive-thru and decided that's what she wanted to do for her birthday. Instead, she and her horse, Scout, were shut down by the barista who apparently wasn't into horsing around. "We weren't given a reason, just, "we can't take your order," said Aspen. "My friend and I were going to get frappuccinos for us and a cup of whipped cream for the horses." A Starbucks spokesperson told us, officially, their drive-through is for cars only. He said that policy is for animal, rider and employee safety. But, he also added that the horses caught the barista off guard and with a little-advanced notice next time they'll find a way to serve all creatures."We support Starbucks because they're very accepting," said Tandy Cline, Aspen's mom. French President Emmanuel Macron tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, according to CNN and the Associated Press.Macron's office confirmed Thursday that the 42-year-old Macron received a test after experiencing symptoms of the virus, which later came back positive.Macron will isolate himself for seven days but will continue to carry out his duties as president remotely.Macron's wife, Brigitte, 67, has no symptoms but will also self-isolate. She tested negative for the virus on Thursday, according to the Associated Press.According to CNN, Macron has met with several other world leaders in recent days, many of whom have now said they plan to isolate. Among them is Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and European Council President Charles Michel. French Prime Minister Jean Castex is also self-isolating.The Associated Press also reports that Macron met with the prime minister of Portugal on Wednesday.Macron's planned trip to Lebanon next week has been canceled.Macron is just the latest world leader to test positive for the virus. Fewer people are choosing to live in senior housing amid the pandemic. Occupancy has gone down more than 2.5% for two quarters in a row.A trade group for housing providers looked at numbers from April through September of this year and found the senior housing sector is experiencing the largest drop in occupancy on record.“We have heard from people who, you know, their first priority is to get older parents out of more hazardous locations, such as nursing homes, and when they are looking for options in terms of where to move them, part of the option of course is to bring them into their home,” said Danielle Arigoni, Director of AARP Livable Communities.Arigoni says the financial benefits of living in a multi-generational home are getting some people to think about it during the pandemic.
