A Miami police officer has been relieved of duty after a video showed him kicking a suspect in the head, as the man was lying on the ground and getting handcuffed."The video depicts a clear violation of policy," Miami Police Chief Jorge R. Colina said in a statement. "The officer has been relieved of duty and the Miami-Dade State Attorney's office has been contacted."A cell phone video shot by a witness shows a man lying in a yard with his hands on his head. The first police officer approaches him and starts putting handcuffs on the suspect. The suspect, identified as David Suazo in the police report, was not resisting and was lying on his stomach. His hands are being restrained. Suddenly, another officer can be seen running toward him and kicking him in the head.That officer then drops to the ground next to the suspect and appears to put him in a headlock.A woman can be heard expressing shock. "You didn't have to do all that, buddy. You tripping."CNN has attempted to reach the officer, Mario Figueroa, but has not yet gotten a response. A suburban Atlanta police officer resigned after his department said he used foul language and inappropriate tactics during the arrest of a 65-year-old grandmother during a traffic stop, recorded on a police dashboard camera.Alpharetta Officer James Legg had been called in as backup during a May 4 traffic stop because the Lyft driver would not sign a ticket and refused another officer's order to get out of her car, officials said.In a letter to Alpharetta Public Safety Director John Robison released Friday, Legg said he felt he behaved appropriately and followed his training."I judged her actions to be passive resistance and used very limited force to end a multiple minute encounter with the suspect," he said. "Maybe I should not have used profanity, but its immediate effectiveness is not questionable and I do believe I acted reasonably under the circumstances."Dashcam video showed Legg pointing at the driver and shouting, "You're not in charge. A Spirit Airlines employee has been charged with allegedly stabbing a co-worker during an argument at Cleveland Hopkins Airport, according to a police report.Around 7 p.m. on Nov. 12, police were called to the Spirit Airlines ticket counter for an altercation between two employees.When they arrived, authorities found a male employee who said he had just been stabbed in the stomach with a pair of scissors by another employee, the report said.  According to the report, the victim said around 6:30 p.m. he was sitting on the "belt" behind the counter when a third employee told him he wasn't allowed to sit down.  The employee also told the victim the suspect, 39-year-old Vonda Gardner, had taken photographs of him sitting down.The victim approached Gardner about the photograph and Gardner denied taking any pictures and swore at him, the report said.According to the report, the victim told Gardner he wanted to have a discussion with management to resolve the situation, to which she replied: "don't worry about it, I got it taken care if."During this time, Gardner was typing an email on her computer while the victim was standing behind reading over her shoulder. When Gardner realized this, she turned her computer monitor off.The victim reached over, turned the monitor back on and was then stabbed by Gardner with a pair of scissors she had been holding, the report said.The victim grabbed the scissors from Gardner and ran to security.Gardner was charged with felonious assault and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 22. 1571

A portion of Interstate 95, one of the main shipping thoroughfare on the east coast, was shut down for hours on on Friday after two tractor trailers overturned on a Maryland bridge.The accident occurred on the Tydings Memorial Bridge, which spans the Susquehanna River in northwest Maryland in between Baltimore and Philadelphia.In addition to the closure of the bridge the Maryland Transportation Authority also put a hold on all traffic because of Friday's high winds.MDTA also temporarily closed the Hatem Bridge — which carries traffic on US 40 and runs parallel to the Tydings — because of the wind. Northbound I-95 detoured at MD 155 (Ex89) and southbound I-95 traffic detoured at MD 222 (Ex93). A school bus driver's camera recorded the scary moment when another driver stopped in the middle of the Massachusetts Pike, exited his car and climbed onto the hood of the bus.Video recorded Tuesday shows a man forcing the bus to stop in the middle of the highway, then climb onto the vehicle's hood.The man got out right in the middle of the highway and he goes to the door of the bus.The bus driver does not let him in. So, he then goes back to the front and jumps right on the hood.The bus driver says the man was screaming that the windows on the bus were too dark."A man jumped on my bus going on the Mass. Turnpike, pulled me over in the middle lane and stopped the bus," said the bus driver."What did he say to you?" asked WCVB reporter John Atwater."His words were, 'Why are your windows dark?' I had the same reaction!
