The Donald J. Trump Foundation has agreed to dissolve under judicial supervision amid an ongoing lawsuit concerning its finances, according to a document filed Tuesday in Manhattan Supreme Court by the New York state Attorney General's office. The dissolution of President Donald Trump's charity resolves one element of the attorney general's civil lawsuit against the foundation, which includes claims that the President and his children violated campaign finance laws and abused its tax-exempt status. The lawsuit will continue in court because it also seeks two other outcomes: .8 million in restitution, plus penalties, and a ban on Trump and his three eldest children serving on the board of any other New York nonprofit. The agreement to dissolve, signed by both the foundation and Attorney General Barbara Underwood's office, also allows the attorney general's office to review the recipients of the charity's assets. A global agency says COVID-19, better known as coronavirus, could make the world economy shrink this quarter. That would be a first since the international financial crisis more than a decade ago. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development says the world economy is still expected to grow overall this year and rebound next year. But it lowered its forecasts Monday for global growth in 2020 in a special report about the effect of the coronavirus. It said China's reduced production is hitting Asia particularly hard, and economists worry that as the disease spreads worldwide, it will cause more quarantines and create more concern among consumers. Consumer fear could cause people to cancel travel plans, avoid stores and stay home from work.It urged governments to act fast to prevent contagion and restore consumer confidence — both economically by lowering interest rates and by instituting health policies that will prevent the spread of the virus. 982

A 14-hour Congressional hearing ended around 11:20 p.m. on Thursday as Judiciary Chair Jerry Nadler shocked his Republican colleagues by not calling for a vote on articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump. Nadler instead announced at the end of the hearing that he would reconvene the committee at 10 a.m. on Friday. The Republicans' ranking member on the committee, Rep. Doug Collins, called the move a "kangaroo court," as other GOP members compared Nadler to Joseph Stalin. Collins told CNN that the move to delay the vote was “the must bush league stunt I’ve ever seen in my entire life.”The hearing came to an end after the Republicans put forth five amendments to the Democrats' impeachment resolution. All five resolutions came with a round of comments by the entire committee. All five of the GOP resolutions were voted down by party-line votes. 879
