BEIJING, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying on Thursday refuted allegations regarding China's espionage threat, made by the United States and Australia.

The campaign, which will run until the end of this year, is aimed at locating criminal gangs and staff at public institutions involved in the trafficking of personal information, the ministry said in a statement.

"I think he wants China to change their sources of imported energy. He also wants to obtain from American companies a repatriation of production centers towards the United States and to redefine the contours of trade exchanges," he said.

"These carbon stock changes are largely attributed to climate change, ecological restoration projects and cropland management," said Fang Jingyun, lead scientist of the research and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
