BEIJING, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- China's National Marine Environmental Forecasting Center on Monday issued a yellow alert for ocean waves brought by Typhoon Nock-Ten and a cold front.
"Everyone has a responsibility to combat smog," said Wang Xiaomei, a resident in Xinxiang City, Henan, adding that environmentally friendly methods of travel should be advocated, such as buses or bicycles downtown.
Authorities will focus on key industries and sectors, preventing serious accidents, Wang added.
