EVERGREEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Police say a man from Evergreen Township, Michigan, was building a gun when he accidentally shot himself in the abdomen Monday. The incident occurred around 2 p.m. on January 7.According to Sgt. Shelly Park of the Sanilac County Sheriff's Office, the 18-year-old was building a .22 caliber gun when he accidentally made the makeshift firearm go off, striking himself in the abdomen. There were two other people near the man when the incident happened, and they contacted 911.Deputies say the 18-year-old stated that he had forgotten there was a bullet in the gun when he started working on it. The man was treated on the scene and transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. The incident has been determined to be an accident. Comedian Louis C.K. is in hot water again, this time for seeming to make fun of survivors of the Parkland school shooting and their effort for stricter gun control.In the audio, reportedly from a recent comedy set, an audience is heard laughing as the comedian mocks the students for testifying before Congress."Testify in front of Congress, these kids, what the f***? What are you doing?" asks the man in the audio clip. "Cause you went to a high school where kids got shot, why does that mean I have to listen to you? Why does that make you interesting? You didn't get shot. The specialist made the decision to airlift Stelly to a stroke center, where he spent four days in ICU before making a full recovery.“In my case, it was truly valuable,” he said. “I do think that this is going to be the future of super specialized expert care that’s instantaneously available.”Dr. Chris Fanale started the telemedicine program at Swedish Medical Center in Colorado, near Denver. Stroke specialists have access to more than 50 telemedicine robots in emergency rooms in five states.Fanale says the diagnosis isn’t the difficult part — it’s determining the treatment.
