if they're hauling medical or emergency supplies.Truckers who aren't hauling those items, however, are starting to see a decline in business, similar to other industries dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic."I heard on the news that everything was shutting down, the truck drivers can't get any food, you can't get a shower at certain places because they are closing everything down," truck driver Dia Moore said. "But we're the ones out here delivering all the goods, and we can't be treated any better than this? That's not cool."Moore, who was traveling through Indiana during a haul, said she hasn't had any issues so far on her cross-country journey but has noticed more trucks parked at truck stops and fewer on the road."Nothing is moving," Moore said. "So if all the truck drivers just stop, the whole country is going to be stopped because you can't get anything in."Larisa Williams is an independent dispatcher. She's been in the trucking industry for nearly 20 years, and she's never seen anything like what coronavirus is doing to the country."I'd say if my trucking friends had gotten together and tried to make a map of what something like this would look like, we would've been dead wrong," Williams said. "We wouldn't have expected this."Williams said right now, a trucker's demand depends on what they are hauling, meaning drivers hauling goods like cars or lumber may be out of luck. A driver carrying essential household goods like food or toilet paper would get a different response."You're golden, I'll find you one," Williams said. This story was originally published by Cameron Ridle on 1609

across Florida to raise awareness about the environment.Charlie Richardson has been running since he was in elementary school."It's a good resetter for me," Richardson said. Now the 18-year-old is chasing a dream and pounding the pavement inside Okeeheelee Park, training for no ordinary workout."This is our home, so if we can't save our home, the future generations that follow us are at risk," Richardson said.Richardson is planning to run from Daytona Beach to Clearwater in December. That's 200 miles in one week."The run is going to be split up over seven days, which is why I'm calling it seven in seven," Richardson said.It all began when Richardson started noticing litter and garbage on his runs."I actually counted on a five-mile run, there was like 42 pieces of garbage," Richardson said.Richardson is also organizing beach cleanups leading up to his run, and he's making weekly YouTube videos about ways to reduce your carbon footprint.Richardson is looking for others to join him, and he's hoping to empower people to change their daily habits."Ultimately, the smallest change I hope to spark in people is they recycle a little bit more and use a little bit less," Richardson said. After the run, Richardson will start school at the University of Florida, where he'll major in computer programming. He also plans to try out for the Gators cross country team.To learn more about his run, 1401

-- and I think that's for a number of reasons," Kaslow said. Some reasons, Kaslow said, could be that family and community structures may not be as tight-knit as in the past, leading to increased risk, or that the increased use of technology has led to young people spending less time on cultivating rich, in-person relationships and more time being exposed to possible cyberbullying."I don't think it's the using of technology that's the problem, but I think it can be how that affects your relationships and the cyberbullying issue," she said. "There's growing evidence now that cyberbullying is associated with depression, with self-harm and suicidal thoughts and even death by suicide." 690

in Colorado on Sunday afternoon. The Larkspur Fire Department said the group of eight people were hiking near the Devils Head Lookout at the summit around 3 p.m. when the lightning strike in Pike National Forest occurred. Ryan Smedra, the incident commander for Jackson 105 Fire Protection District, said the strike hit a rock wall near the hikers and the blast knocked many of them violently to the ground.Five of the hikers affected were able to walk out of the area on their own, the fire department said. They were treated for minor injuries. But a couple of them had burns from the strike, Smedra said. Some of the patients also complained of having tingling sensations. Two other adults required assistance. One of them was transported to the hospital for observation. The eighth victim, an adult woman, suffered critical injuries. She had to be carried down from the trail in a stretcher and was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Officials could not say what type of injuries she sustained. However, Smedra said she did not appear to have burns.Douglas County Search and Rescue said the operation was challenging due to the area's terrain. More than 30 people from multiple agencies were involved in rescue efforts. The lookout tower, established in 1912, is used by the U.S. Forest Service to spot fires. It's accessed by the Devils Head National Recreation Trail. 1394
