A Las Vegas man says the possibility of him being deported caused his 14-year-old son to jump out of a moving vehicle, leading to his death.Reporters for Scripps station KTNV in Las Vegas spoke to Ezequiel Anorve from behind bars at the Clark County Detention Center on Thursday night.Anorve, an undocumented immigrant, has been in jail since Aug. 17 on a felony charge of battery with a deadly weapon. He's currently being kept on an immigration hold.Anvorve's family visited him in jail between 8 and 9 p.m. on Aug. 20. During that time, Anorve told his wife two sons that he may be deported to Mexico.Anorve's 14-year-old son, Silas, took the news especially hard. Just 15 minutes later, he jumped out of a moving car on a busy highway. Another vehicle ran him over, killing him,Anorve's older son also ran across a few lanes of traffic to try and save his little brother, according to Anorve, but it was too late.Anorve says the stress surrounding his possible deportation led Silas to jump out of the car, taking his own life."This is just a message from God, to show the world, not just Nevada, not just the United States, to show the world, how America is hurting and breaking families apart," Anorve said.Anorve is hoping to make it to his son's funeral next week but doesn't know if he will be allowed to attend. 1369

A lawsuit is being filed against Massage Envy after attorneys say seven women throughout California were sexually assaulted or raped by massage therapists, according to KGO.In a lawsuit filed against the company, attorneys say they are looking for other alleged victims to come forward.The reported incidents happened at Massage Envy locations in Southern California, the Sacramento area and the Bay Area.The claims range from inappropriate touching to rape. A major crackdown could be coming to stop those annoying robocalls. New research from YouMail--a company that developed robocall blocking software--shows each person on the country receives about 150 robocalls a year.Alex Quilici, CEO of YouMail, says these terribly annoying calls keep increasing for two reasons. "One is there are more and more scam calls. The second thing that's driving the increase is people aren't answering the phone anymore," Quilici says.Because people don’t answer their phones, it makes the robocallers place more calls, he says.It’s a problem both Democrats and Republicans can agree on.  Senators John Thune, R-South Dakota, and Ed Markey, D-Massachusetts, have proposed bipartisan legislation to increase the penalties for robocalls to ,000. They are also proposing to extend the time after a crime in which prosecutors must bring their case from one years to three years.Commercial robocalls are illegal, but the Federal Trade Commission, which is tasked with investigating and charging those who have violated the anti-Robocall federal law, has a hard time prosecuting offenders within the current one-year time limit. “If you look at the current enforcement efforts, there's been a 0 million fine and million fine that's covered people who've made 100 million robocalls or a couple hundred million robocalls. That's a drop in the bucket of the nearly 50 billion we're going to have this year,” Quilici. “It's going to take a lot more than just enforcement and some better regulation to solve the problem."Until legislation to crack down on people who make robocalls passes, Quilici suggests:  1674

A family celebrating a birthday in the Wisconsin Dells ended up with bed bug bites for souvenirs.When Aisha Carr and the group of young girls checked into the resort they had big expectations. They wanted to have some fun, but they also wanted some clean comforters and not to be eaten alive by bedbugs.They woke up to the bites Saturday morning at the Baker’s Sunset Bay Resort."I started feeling around and I just so happened to scratch my arm and I felt like lines of bites," Carr said.Photos show Carr and some of the girls swelling up everywhere, covered in ugly red bedbug bites. The front desk was then immediately called."Our trip was pretty much ruined from that point,” Carr said, “It's just disheartening and upsetting. It was very humiliating."Scripps station WTMJ in Milwaukee reached out to the resort and an employee confirmed the bedbug case over the phone, saying Carr was provided compensation for her stay.She said they have an extremely clean resort, but with people coming and going all the time they believe someone brought them in.Carr said after going there for the past 12 years that may have been her last trip."Just all around a bad experience," she said. "It's no excuse for it, it's a zero tolerance."The employee at the resort added that a professional pest control company came to the resort Monday to treat the room. Carr said she has been using over the county allergy medicine to treat the bites.The creepy crawlers can be hard to spot and it's best to find the problem early. The EPA has some tips on what to look for. First, look for rusty or red-colored stains on bed sheets or mattresses. Secondly, the bugs also like to hide in seams of furniture and appliances so check there.WTMJ also reached out to the Sauk County Health Department and they said there have been no complaints relating to this resort since 2009.  1898
