 President Donald Trump's attorney Jay Sekulow announced Sunday that Joseph diGenova and Victoria Toensing will not join Trump's legal team for the Russia probe."The President is disappointed that conflicts prevent Joe diGenova and Victoria Toensing from joining the President's Special Counsel legal team. However, those conflicts do not prevent them from assisting the President in other legal matters. The President looks forward to working with them," Sekulow said in a statement.The announcement on Sunday came as Trump insisted on Twitter he was not having a hard time assembling a legal team for the Russia probe, and after CNN reported on Friday that diGenova and Toensing's roles in the legal team were still in question.Two sources previously told CNN that there was concern about diGenova and Toensing's conflicts. The pair make up a husband-and-wife legal team, and two sources noted that Toensing represents clients who are connected to the special counsel probe led by former FBI Director Robert Mueller.Sekulow announced last Monday?that diGenova would be joining the legal team, and sources told CNN that both diGenova and Toensing met with Trump on Thursday. That same day, Trump's lead lawyer, John Dowd, resigned from Trump's personal legal team in the Russia investigation.The possibility of diGenova's hire attracted widespread attention to the legal figure's brash comments about the Russia investigation, including the assertion that Trump had been "framed" by FBI and Justice Department officials. 1559

 Hundreds of people showed up to donate blood on Thursday for the victims of the mass shooting at a bar in Thousand Oaks, California.More than 200 people waited to participate in a blood drive at La Reina High School. The line extended out of the school parking lot, stretched down the street and wrapped around the block, school officials said."You know, you hear about all these things happening around the country, but it's different when it's close to home," one woman told Kristine Lazar, a reporter from CNN affiliate KCAL/KCBS. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A severely injured horse trainer and her husband filed a lawsuit against SLR Training Center INC., the company that owns the San Luis Rey Downs Training Center in Bonsall. The nine-page complaint was filed March 18, and it focuses on the events of Dec. 7, 2017, when the Lilac Fire burned through the training facility. Martine Bellocq suffered burns to more than 60 percent of her body and lost a leg while trying to save racehorses, including her own. The court documents allege negligence on the part of the training facility. It also claims the San Luis Rey Downs facility “failed to keep a defensible space around structures.” It goes on to say “there were no fire suppression systems in place” and it “failed to have the foresight to have a means to evacuate the facility, or an emergency plan in place.” Bellocq’s attorney says her medical bills are racking up, currently in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. The attorney says the lawsuit is to recoup economic damages, resulting from injuries and the impact on her life. San Luis Rey Downs declined to give 10News a comment regarding the lawsuit. 1140

 ESPN The Magazine is celebrating its 20th anniversary by releasing lists of the best teams and athletes of the last 20 years. Needless to say, there isn't a lot of San Diego on the list -- with the exception of a No. 4 ranking for NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson on the "Most Dominant Athletes" list. As it happens, my career in San Diego sports media began in 1998, so I thought I'd take it upon myself to come up with a list of the best San Diego teams of the past 20 years. Unlike ESPN, which came up with complicated metrics to determine their lists, mine is completely subjective.
