Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff's officials say a man has been taken into custody after threatening to shoot churchgoers in the north Valley. The investigation began on February 19, when detectives received a Facebook post in Romanian. The post reportedly translated into concerning statements, but nothing specific about the North Valley Romanian Pentecostal Church. A witness reportedly overheard a phone conversation in Romanian on speakerphone. In that call, Ismaiel Damian indicated he was planning on entering the church to shoot and kill many people in attendance with his machine gun. Detectives monitored Damian leaving for the church and took him into custody on Sunday.A .38 Special Taurus revolver was located in his vehicle. Damian was booked into a jail for misdemeanor use of an electronic communication to terrify, intimidate, threaten or harass.  907

MIAMI, Fla. — Parts of Texas and Louisiana are bracing for Hurricane Laura, as continues to move closer to the United States as an "extremely dangerous" Category 4 storm.Earlier in the day, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) issued a dire warning, saying "little time to protect life and property."Laura is expected to deliver catastrophic storm surge, extreme winds, and flash flooding.As of the 8 p.m. ET update, Laura is about 120 miles south of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and 120 miles south-southeast of Port Arthur, Texas. When it’s assembled, it comes in two pieces. In recent years, Dickson says he’s seen an uptick in purchases. He says people are needing affordable housing in this competitive market. According to the National Association of Realtors, an average American home cost about 8,000. A starting price for a manufactured home, with no add-ons, can cost just ,000.When it comes to a manufactured home, there are many housing experts that say factory-built homes depreciate in value. However, Dickson says whether your home is manufactured or not, if you live in a great location, the value of your home will go up. Despite the value of a manufactured home, there are many buyers worried more about the home’s quality. But Dickson says the same requirements put in place for a site build home are still required for manufactured homes. Dickson hopes to break the stigma of how people view a manufactured home. McDonald's is investing billion into their fast-food chains. Franchises across the country will be getting a new modern, high-tech look. The fast-food mogul says these updates will enhance the guest experience. Not only is it great for business, but it's great for communities. Franchise operator Laura Bucar says in her 40 years of doing business, McDonald's has never invested this much money into it's existing chains. "When we decide to move on anything, what that creates for the community, as far as jobs and resources, is incredible,” says Bucar. In order to create an incredible experience, McDonald's is investing millions of dollars into nearly every state to update their restaurants.“We just finished ours in July, and I can’t tell you how many electricians and plumbers locally that were sourced to come in, and even digital and technical people and so it really adds to the economy,” says Bucar.Each fast food restaurant is able to customize their artwork inside. Bucar is excited to give visibility to local artists. Not only is McDonald's offering jobs in the community for construction workers, but they are also adding a handful of positions inside their restaurants, too.
