Something you can't see with the naked eye could be the keeping an eye on you in your most private moments.Illegally hidden cameras are getting harder to detect each day.At her request, we have concealed the identity of a Central Florida woman who found a hidden camera installed in a fan sitting on a table in her home."Well right now it's making me very paranoid because I feel like there could be more devices," said the woman.  She is sharing her story to warn others.There are already plenty of other warnings out there in our state as well.In October 2017, a couple found a hidden camera in a smoke detector in their Airbnb room in Longboat Key.In March 2016, a mother said she found a hidden camera in a West Kendall restaurant bathroom.The demand for hidden cameras, and help finding them, keep private investigator Jody Stacy busy at his Delray Beach store."You got to think if they're finding one device, how many did they miss? Again, it's getting cheaper, smaller and more effective," said Stacy.Stacy went on to say, "Pretty much anything can hold a hidden camera. A stuffed animal, a clock, something as small as a phone charger. Finding the camera can be a challenge."The woman in Central Florida felt like someone she knew, knew too much about her private life."I feel like he can hear everything I'm talking about and everything I say," said the woman.She hired a private investigator, who found the camera in a fan.For about one hundred bucks, you can use a handheld device to spot hidden camera lenses and radio frequencies.  Stacy said, "Everything has to have a crystal or a lens in it like the smoke detectors or stuff like that so if you went through it... it would reflect and you'd see like a little red light and it would tell you there's a camera in it." 1814

Some relatives of Mollie Tibbetts are pushing back against politicians who are blaming the country's immigration system for the Iowa college student's death.A body believed to be Tibbetts' was found in Iowa on Tuesday, a month after she went missing during an evening jog. The man arrested in her death is an undocumented immigrant from Mexico.President Donald Trump and other Republican politicians have highlighted the case to argue for stricter enforcement of immigration laws.But some of Tibbetts' family members, including her aunt, Billie Jo Calderwood, say they don't want her death to be used for political leverage."I don't want Mollie's memory to get lost amongst politics," Calderwood told CNN, emphasizing that she's speaking only for herself.She said her family received an outpouring of love from people of all races, religions and ethnicities during the search for her niece."It's not about race, it's about people joining together to do good," said Calderwood, who posted a similar message on Facebook.One of Tibbetts' second cousins, Samantha Lucas, also told CNN she wants Tibbetts' death removed from political discussion.Lucas said she didn't know her second cousin well, and isn't speaking for the whole family. But she says knows enough about Tibbetts to believe "she would not want this to be used as fuel against undocumented immigrants."CNN contacted Lucas after she pushed back against people on social media who mentioned Tibbetts as they railed against illegal immigration.Few of Tibbetts' relatives have spoken publicly on the issue. ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Tropical Storm Iota formed Friday in the Caribbean and is expected to strengthen into a hurricane as it approaches Central America. This is the 30th named storm in 2020's record-breaking Atlantic hurricane season.The National Hurricane Center in Miami said Iota could bring dangerous wind, storm surge and rainfall to Nicaragua and Honduras by Sunday night. Iota currently has sustained wind speeds of 40 mph and it is expected to strengthen as it approaches land.The National Hurricane Center predicts Iota will bring 20-to-30 inches of rain across the Nicaragua and Honduras border, and could drop 4-8 inches of rain across portions of northern Colombia, Panama, and Costa Rica. It could wreak havoc in the same region where people are still grappling with more than 120 deaths and many more missing in the aftermath of Hurricane Eta. Eta then regained strength and soaked the west coast of Florida before moving into the southeast states and causing severe flooding in North Carolina on Thursday. SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — South Dakota investigators say that Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg reported hitting a deer with his car on Saturday night but actually killed a pedestrian whose body was not found until the next day. Ravnsborg's office has said he immediately called 911 after the accident. The Department of Public Safety said Monday only that he told the Hyde County Sheriff's Office that he had hit a deer and did not say whether he reported the crash in a 911 call. The man was identified as 55-year-old Joseph Boever.He was not found until Sunday morning.According to the DPS, the incident happened one mile west of Highmore, South Dakota at 10:30 p.m. CT.Ravnsborg was not injured, DPS said. 715
