Heather Locklear has pleaded not guilty to charges related to an alleged domestic dispute, according to the Ventura County, California, district attorney's office.The actress was not in court Thursday for the plea, which her attorney entered on her behalf.Locklear is charged with five misdemeanor counts: four counts of battery on a peace officer and one count of resisting, obstructing or delaying a peace officer.Police were called to Locklear's home in Thousand Oaks, California, in February regarding a domestic incident between the actress and her boyfriend.Authorities declined to identify Locklear's boyfriend.The former "Melrose Place" star, 56, was taken into custody. GEORGIA — A tour bus carrying 18 passengers headed to watch golf at the Masters Tournament overturned Thursday morning, and the driver has been charged.The crash near Augusta happened just before 9 a.m. Eastern. The Georgia State Patrol said the driver has been charged with driving under the influence.The bus went off the right side of the road, GSP said in a release. The driver overcorrected and the vehicle overturned in a median on Interstate 20."Several of the passengers were transported to Doctors Hospital in Augusta with non-life threatening injuries," the report said.The driver of the bus was Steven F. Hoppenbrouwer, 61, of Gwinnett County, Georgia. He was charged with DUI and Failure to Maintain Lane.The bus is owned by Jet Executive Limousine, Inc. 789

GREENCASTLE, Ind. — Several dozen students interrupted an event featuring actress Jenna Fischer at DePauw University Tuesday to protests recent racial incidents on and near campus.Many of them held signs with things claiming they are "afraid for their lives" after recent events. Fischer, star of the sicoms "The Office" and "Splitting Up Together" was at the university to discuss her new book, "The Actor's Life: A Survivor's Guide."University Spokesman Ken Owen, who was moderating the lecture with Fischer, said about 15 minutes into the program a group of students got up and began interrupting the event whistling, shouting and saying they were afraid for their safety on campus because of the recent racial incidents. Last week, a hateful message was found written in a bathroom at the university. The message, which read " All ******* must die -KKK," was written on a bathroom wall of the Inn at DePauw, a public building on campus. Another anti-Semitic and homophobic messages were also found. The video above was captured during the Tuesday evening protests by Shannon Samson. Another event being investigated by the university involves a hateful slur written in rocks at the DePauw nature park, which is owned by the university. Owen said there was a meeting with the school president Tuesday over the events and that have happened up until that point and they expect more meetings in the future. DePauw University issued the following statement on social media after the event.  1573

HACKENSACK, N.J. — A New Jersey woman has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman who told her to wear a mask in a Staples office supplies store, according to police.The incident took place on July 29 at a Staples store in Hackensack. A woman who was using the fax/copier told Terri Thomas — who was wearing a mask over her chin — to adjust the mask, so it covered her mouth and nose.Thomas yelled at the woman and threw her to the ground, police said. It was later discovered that the victim had recently undergone liver transplant surgery.The victim suffered a fractured left tibia, which required surgery.
