A 3-month-old child was found alive this week in a Painesville, Ohio apartment with her parents who had died from an apparent drug overdose.Police performed a welfare check at the apartment on the 1280 block of West Jackson Street Sunday afternoon where they found 29-year-old Matthew J. Jacquemain and his girlfriend 25-year-old Sarah K. Poorman dead in the home from apparent drug overdoses.Police said they found the couple's infant daughter in the apartment. 90-year-old Margaret Keenan of the United Kingdom became the first person to receive an initial dose of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday — a major landmark and something that officials are calling a "turning point" in the pandemic.Keenan, a retired store clerk, was the first in line at University Hospital in Coventry, England, to receive her first dose of a vaccine made by Pfizer and BioNTech. The U.S. and the European Union are expected to grant their approval to the Pfizer vaccine in the coming days.Russia was the first country to approve a COVID-19 vaccine in August. However, the vaccine, dubbed "Sputnik V," was only tested on a few dozen people, and its rollout has been marked by public distrust and production issues.Pfizer's vaccine requires two shots, which need to be taken 28 days apart, which means Keenan, Shakespeare, and all others injected on Tuesday will need to return for another shot next month to reach full inoculation.The U.S. is also expected to approve a vaccine candidate made by Moderna in the coming days as well. (KGTV) -A nonprofit group is stepping up to find a solution following complaints of people living out of their cars across neighborhoods in San Diego. In February, the City of San Diego unanimously voted to repeal a 1983 city ordinance preventing people from living out of their vehicles. The change cleared the way for vehicle dwellers to live on any street within San Diego. A newly-formed resident coalition is documenting what it says are the problems the ordinance created. The information is being sent to San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer’s office. “We have literally witnessed buckets of waste being thrown out of some of these vehicles. I’ve witnessed drug dealing out of some of the motor homes, we’ve seen bike chop shops operating,” Pacific Beach resident Racheal Allen said. A nonprofit group, Jewish Family Services, is now working on a proposal that could potentially turn a privately-owned church parking lot in San Marcos into a designated space for these campers. Jewish Family Services officials said the group is in the exploration phase of the proposal and is reviewing different sites as options.
