because the lettuce might be contaminated with E. coli.According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), the products were from October 14 through October 16 and sold in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin.The products have the establishment number "EST. 18502B" inside the USDA mark of inspection. Specific product information can be found on this spreadsheet.FSIS lists this recall as a high health risk, meaning "there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences," according to the recall.The recall comes after the Maryland Department of Health collected an unopened package of the product, and the lettuce tested positive for E. coli.
