The FBI and Toledo, Ohio police are searching for a suspect in an armed bank robbery who was mistakenly released from jail earlier this week.According to the FBI, Don Woodson Ellis Jr. allegedly robbed a bank in Toledo on Monday and was arrested and held at the Lucas County Corrections Center. He was mistakenly released on Wednesday night around 10:30 p.m.At the time, he was wearing a black t-shirt, light blue shorts/jeans to the knee and white tennis shoes with dark laces.He was using the name Antwon Moore at the time of the departure from the jail. He is also considered armed and dangerous.The Lucas County Sheriff's Office said Ellis "used deception" to be released back into the community.According to the FBI, he could be in Michigan given his previous criminal record which includes pleading guilty to bank robbery and fleeing/eluding police in Monroe County.Ellis is described as a black male, 28 years old, 6-feet tall weighing 150 pounds.  983

The Force is with the Hollywood Walk of Fame.Legendary actor Mark Hamill will be honored Thursday with the 2,630th star on Tinsel Town's iconic sidewalk. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Medical Association are working with the Ad Council to educate people about the flu vaccine, particularly in communities of color.“I understand. As an African American physician, I understand some of the mistrust and distrust,” said Dr. Patrice Harris with the American Medical Association.CDC data shows not enough people get the flu shot.People die unnecessarily and unvaccinated African Americans have twice the hospitalization rate due to flu.“And when we consider other things like diabetes, heart and lung disease, asthma and other conditions that can get exasperated in the presence of the flu, it’s particularly protective for people with those conditions,” said Dr. Leandris Liburd, CDC Associate Director for Minority Health.There's more than 50 years of data on the safety of the flu vaccine.There is the potential now for a “twindemic.”“And so, by taking care of our health, we are saying we care about our family members, our community members and we are taking care of their health as well,” said Harris.The CDC anticipates delivering nearly 200 million flu vaccine doses.CVS and Walgreens say they plan to give as much as double the amount of vaccines as they did last season.It takes about two weeks after vaccination for the body to be fully protected.Click here to learn where to get your vaccine. 1387

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Thursday that it’s investigating salmonella cases linked to pet bearded dragons and hedgehogs.The CDC said that 13 salmonella infections in eight states have been potentially tied to handling the pets. The CDC confirmed that seven of the infections resulted in hospitalizations. Ten of the 13 ill people reported contact with a bearded dragon.Those who reported illnesses said they purchased bearded dragons from pet stores, but a common supplier has not been identified.The CDC said that two similar outbreaks were tied to hedgehogs in the last decade.The CDC offers owners of pet bearded dragons and hedgehogs the following tips:Always wash hands thoroughly with soap and water right after touching your pet or anything in its environment.Don’t kiss or snuggle your pet because this can spread Salmonella germs to your face and mouth and make youKeep your pet out of your kitchen and other areas where you eat, store, or prepare food.Clean items you use to care for your pet outside the house, if possible. If you clean the items indoors, clean them in a laundry sink or bathtub. Make sure to thoroughly disinfect the area right after.Don’t let children younger than 5 touch the bearded dragon or hedgehog because young children are more likely to have severe Salmonella illness.Before bringing home a new pet, research the pet’s needs and see if it’s a good fit for your family. 1444
