A police officer in Colorado is on leave after comments he made on Facebook that allegedly threaten violence in the wake of the presidential election, according to multiple reports.The police chief in the town of Platteville became aware of the officer’s comments Wednesday afternoon and the officer was immediately placed on leave, according to The Denver Post.The officer, identified in media reports as Jason Taft, posted the following comments on Facebook on Wednesday:“If for some reason we lose do we get to be little bitches and beat the hell out of the other party like they did,” Taft wrote in his post, which was still publicly visible Thursday afternoon. “Because they don’t believe in what we do. A Mississippi school district has apologized and a high school band director has been suspended after the band staged a halftime skit that depicted police being held at gunpoint.The controversial skit came as the Forest Hill High School band from Jackson performed Friday during a football game against Brookhaven High School to the south. A man who claims he worked for Amazon said he quit on the job and abandoned his delivery truck at a metro Detroit gas station.Derick Lancaster, 22, made the post on Twitter Monday.Lancaster told WXYZ he was frustrated with the long hours, number of deliveries, and pay. A Southwest Airlines flight with 117 people aboard slid off a runway on Thursday at California's Hollywood Burbank Airport during heavy rain, the Federal Aviation Administration said.There were no injuries reported, FAA spokesman Ian Gregor said.Flight 278, a Boeing 737-700 that originated in Oakland, California, came to a stop after running through an area of crushable material designed to bring an airplane to a halt, he said.The airport is open, and all airlines are operational, the airport tweeted.
