Carnival Cruise Lines announced Monday it will continue a suspension of operations in North America through the end of September amid the spread of the coronavirus.The cruise line’s decision takes its suspension well past a US government-mandated prohibition on cruises. The CDC issued a 100-day no-sail order on April 15, which is set to expire on July 24. It’s unclear whether the CDC will extend the order.Cruise ships became the site of several early outbreaks of the virus, causing passengers on board a number of ships to be quarantined as officials tried to determine how to safely allow passengers to disembark.The issue with outbreaks of COVID-19 have lingered on cruise ships as hundreds of crew members have remained quarantined on board ships for months.“Carnival is giving guests who wish to move their booking to a later date a rebooking offer that combines a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) and either a 0 or 0 Onboard Credit (OBC) that has proven very popular with their guests,” Carnival said in a statement. “Guests, as always, have the option to receive a full refund. The process is fully automated so that guests can submit their preference online and they have until May 31, 2021 to make a selection.”Whether Carnival is able to resume operations in October remains in doubt. Raymond Orosa, his wife Jordan Chan, and their kids were celebrating her birthday on July 4th at the Lucia Restaurant & Bar in Carmel Valley, when they say a white man started yelling racist things about Asians.The incident was captured on a video that shows the man cursing and hurling racist insults and the server ordering him to leave."Trump is going f*ck you," the man is heard telling the group. "You f*cking Asian piece of sh*t.""The man in the video is Michael Lofthouse, a CEO of Bay Area-based cloud computing startup Solid8.In a statement issued to media, Lofthouse admits making the comments and says he will be reflecting on his behavior.“My behavior in the video is appalling,” the statement read. “This was clearly a moment where I lost control and made incredibly hurtful and divisive comments. (KGTV) - Three boys are recovering from an angry wasp attack at a park in Cardiff.Along Windsor Road, feet from an elementary school, five boys between 7 and 14 years old were inside a private park in the Park Place community two Sundays ago. They were about a 100 feet from the fenceline along Windsor Road. Frank Bocchini's son was the oldest boy in the group."Doing what young boys do, exploring and having fun in nature," said Bocchini.The fun quickly turned into a nightmare."He saw the wasps and told the young boys to stay away from there," said Bocchini.Bocchini's son was the first to see the insects near a tunnel structure. "The wasps reacted quickly after he said that. It was a nest that quickly turned into a swarm...screaming and crying, because they were getting hit," said Bocchini.Three of the five kids were stung, including two 7-year-old boys who were stung dozens of times."The older boys were trying to get the wasps tangled in the young boys' hair," said Bocchini.Bocchini's son and another boy frantically tried to help the other children. "At one point, the whole jacket was covered in wasps on this young boy. He told the boy to take the jacket off and run," said Bocchini.That boy did, and eventually ran out of harm's way."He was upset and scared," said Bocchini. The 7-year-old boy ended up in the emergency room with 24 stings and hives on his body. The incident unfolded as wasp season should be wrapping up.
