She says she’ll take the burden of the stress, so the residents, as she puts it, can stay blissfully unaware.“It’s protected them from having to go through what we’re feeling emotionally when we see it,” Becerra says. 1331

LOS ANGELES (AP) — More than 325,000 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine are on their way to California on Sunday amid record-setting case numbers and shrinking intensive care unit capacity. The first shipments of the Pfizer vaccine left Michigan early Sunday. States will get vaccines based on their adult population and additional shipments are coming this week.In California, counties will have specific allotments that will be distributed to hospitals determined by state health officials to have adequate storage capacity, serve a high-risk health care population and have the ability to vaccinate people quickly. A third installment of the “Sister Act” franchise is officially in the works.Disney confirmed Thursday evening that “Sister Act 3” is in development, with Whoopi Goldberg set to reprise her role as Deloris Van Cartier.The entertainment company said the film will premiere on Disney+, but didn’t provide a target release date.Along with starring in the film, “The View” co-host will produce it as well, alongside Tyler Perry. (KGTV) – A skydiver in California’s Central Valley died Monday morning after her parachute failed to open, KRON reports.Authorities say the woman was a veteran jumper who was using her own equipment when the accident happened.The plane carrying the unidentified woman took off from Skydive Lodi Parachute Center. A tally by Johns Hopkins University put California’s death toll at 15,026 on Sunday, the fourth highest in the country.
