SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Despite skyrocketing prices, San Diego’s housing inventory is up in 2018, according to a new report by Trulia. The trend in America’s Finest City sits opposite the national trend, which is seeing a declining inventory. The national drop in inventory in the fourth quarter of 2018 was mainly driven by a drop in for-sale homes, however, in San Diego, the total for-sale inventory rose by more than 27 percent. San Diego’s trade-up inventory saw the largest increase at more than 46 percent. The report points out that, despite inventory gains in San Diego, prices continue to rise, outpacing wage growth. The trend places homeownership out of reach for many first-time homebuyers. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Halloween fun will return to Legoland California this season with costumes, outdoor festivities, and delicious treats for guests.Legoland's Halloween festivities will bring the spooky season to Miniland U.S.A., a scavenger hunt, LEGO building activities, and good bags filled with cady on Oct. 2-4, 9-11, 16-18, 23-25, and 30 and 31.Character meet-and-greets will also be held and families will be able to dig into some delectable eats at Smoke House BBQ and NINJA Kitchen.Of course, the park will be dressed to impress in its best Halloween decor and young visitors are invited to dress up as well.Tickets for Legoland's special outdoor experience start at .99 and guests will be required to purchase tickets online in advance to reserve access.To protect guests from the spread of the coronavirus, capacity at Miniland will be reduced, cashless payment options will be used, social distancing measures will be in place, and regular sanitation and cleaning will be performed.Face coverings will be required for all guests three years old and up and park employees.The park's event will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays. 1246

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- First responders late Sunday morning rescued a man from sunset cliffs they say was intoxicated and naked. San Diego Fire-Rescue was called to No Surf Beach near Hill Street just before 11 to perform the rescue. According to the department, the man was exploring down by the water when waves picked up. RELATED: King tide rolls into San Diego coastlineCrews say the man clung to the rocks until help arrived.San Diego police say the man was intoxicated and was taken in for a psychiatric hold. Onlookers could be heard cheering as the man was lifted to safety atop the cliffs. Onlookers cheer as first responders rescue a naked man from Sunset Cliffs. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — For the second time in as many weeks, several train cars derailed near the downtown San Diego area.The BNSF Railway Company says 19 cars derailed at about 9:40 p.m. Friday while traveling at slow speeds. The train cars were carrying automobiles.The backup continued into Saturday morning. Cars were at a standstill for about a mile along Harbor Dr. from the Barrio Logan area into downtown San Diego.No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.RELATED:Amtrak requires reservations for holiday travel in Southern CaliforniaTrain hits car on tracks in National CityCalifornia transit worker rescues man from oncoming trainShipyard workers were forced to walk around the massive backup in order to get to work Saturday.
