SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Officials with the the Department of Homeland Security announced Friday plans to screen people returning from restricted countries.American citizens, legal permanent residents, and their immediate families returning to the United States will be required to arrive at one of 13 airports for enhanced screening for coronavirus.“While the overall risk of serious infection from the coronavirus to the general public remains low at this time, the Trump administration is taking these aggressive measures to keep the risk low, requiring all Americans returning from affected areas in Europe to be funneled through 13 airports for screening upon their return to the U.S.,” said Acting Secretary Wolf. “To minimize disruptions to travelers, TSA, CBP, and air carriers are working to identify qualifying passengers before their scheduled flights. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — North Park residents will celebrate this holiday season with an annual tradition intact — at least for one more year.For 56 years, the Toyland Parade has delighted crowds in North Park during the holiday season. But much like a parade balloon, financial troubles have loomed over organizers.Last year, the parade was briefly canceled after former-host Victoria House Corporation said it had lost support from sponsors. Angela Landsberg, executive director with North Park Main Street, says support from the local Lions Club has saved 2019's parade, but 2020 is a different story."Our presenting sponsor North Park Lions Club have ensured that it's going to go off this year, but if we don't raise enough money this year to get us carried through our planning for next year, because these things take a long time to plan, then this will be the final year," Landsberg told 10News. The event includes traditional libations, drum call, Karamu traditional feast and Kwanzaa poetry by Johnnierenee Nia Nelson. Doors open at 6 p.m. at the WorldBeat Cultural Center in Balboa Park for the free event. Kwanzaa is an African American holiday celebrated from December 26 through January 1. The center will be celebrating five of seven days of Kwanzaa with master of ceremonies, Tukufu Kalonji. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Police have arrested a man they say peeped into the homes of at least six women in Pacific Beach over the last two months.James Wayne Hubbard, 48, was arrested Friday and charged with six instances of peeping and one count of petty theft, according to San Diego Police.Police say between Sept. 11 and Oct. 12, Hubbard repeatedly peeped into windows of unsuspecting women in the Pacific Beach area at least six times.MAP: Track crimes happening in your areaPolice added the suspect description was consistent between the six events.Through witness interviews, evidence, and the help of patrol officers Hubbard was identified and arrested.Anyone with further information about the cases is asked to call SDPD Northern Division at 858-552-1700 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. 817
