Children at the Notre Dame Academy in Carmel Valley recently visited the sacred site during a school trip. Francesca Pinney, who is in 8th grade, said stepping inside such a holy place is something she will never forget."I remember it being an incredibly majestic and beautiful cathedral and it was incredibly inspiring to my Catholic faith being able to see this in person," said Francesca. The mood at the school on Monday afternoon was one of sadness and shock. "During Holy Week, the fact that the cathedral is burning down is just truly awful. It's so tragic," said Francesca, who visited Paris last year. Other classmates visited the famous attraction in just the last few weeks. Clare Deloux, a 7th grader, is one of them. She was stunned to learn about the massive fire that captured headlines around the world. "I was in shock. I didn't expect this to happen. It's very sad that this is amazing and that history was made even building that, " said Clare. The loss is also personal to their teacher. Marielle Hacher is from Paris. "It's a symbol of France and Catholic France for all the Catholic. It's very sad to see that it is burning, and hopefully, they gonna restore it," said Hacher.The students have already decided to use their next service project to raise money to help with the restoration; meanwhile, they will continue to pray for the people of France. "Our faith is not only building, we are the living bricks of the building, it is a terrible tragedy but our faith is going to build it up, and the important thing is we are all united," said Sister Angelique Therese. 1717

A 29-year-old man arrested after he crashed a car into security barriers outside the UK Houses of Parliament in what's being treated as a terrorist incident was identified by police Wednesday as a UK national originally from Sudan.The man has not yet been named by London's Metropolitan Police but the force said in a statement that it was "satisfied" it now knew his identity.Three people were injured when the suspect's car careened into cyclists and pedestrians during the Tuesday morning rush hour outside one of London's most iconic locations. (KGTV) -- Tuesday, SpaceX launchged several satellites into orbit that will replace a satellite network and monitor climate change. The Iridium-6/GRACE-FO satellites were launched just before 1 p.m. from Vandenberg Air Force Base. For this particular mission, SpaceX launched five Iridium NEXT satellites as part of the company's campaign to replace the world's largest commercial satellite network. A total of eight Iridium NEXT launches are planned with the company that will send into orbit 75 new satellites. Also on board the Falcon 9 rocket will be satellites that will monitor the movement of earth's mass for NASA and the German Research Centre for Geosciences.Watch the launch in the player below:  775

(KGTV) — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says voters who may be sick or in quarantine due to COVID-19 on Election Day should take steps when breaking quarantine to vote.The agency says that any COVID-19 patients who head out to vote should ear a mask, stay at least six feet away from others, wash their hands and use hand sanitizer before and after voting, and let poll workers know that they are sick when arriving at the polling location."Voters have the right to vote, regardless of whether they are sick or in quarantine. Voters who are sick or in quarantine should take steps to protect poll workers and other voters," the CDC says.The CDC also recommended that patients bring their own supplies to vote, including pens and sample ballots or registration forms.The CDC's recommendations for all voters can be read online. 850
