SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Ralphs grocery stores are extending their hours to help seniors and provide greater flexibility for the general public, according to Director of Corporate Affairs John Votava.All stores will open at 6 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. for shoppers 60 years and older. "They're the most vulnerable population out there today, so we want to make sure they have time to come into our stores and shop uninhibited," Votava said.Locations will remain open to the public until at least 10 p.m., some will stay open later.Ralphs is also offering free pharmacy delivery for most locations and free pickup service for most grocery orders. Families took advantage of the pickup service Sunday at the Ralphs in Mission Valley. "I think it's going to make people feel comfortable shopping in a different way. If you can order online or call it in for sure," Tim Earp said through a mask.Votava said they're working on other safety features to protect customers and their employees. Plexiglass will be installed next week at checkout counters, and decals are already on the floor to encourage social distancing at checkout.Votava also said employees are allowed to wear masks and gloves while they work.He does have one request for anyone in the store, "if you see a senior who is shopping throughout the day, please let them cut to the front of the line so they can get in and out of the store safely."Votava said this is the new normal for now, and the store hours will reflect that indefinitely. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego and National City Police detained three people and sought a fourth Friday at a South Bay home where a neighbor said shots were fired.The incident started Friday about 5 p.m. at Alpha and 47th streets in National City. A woman who lives near the home told 10News she heard gunfire. A 10News crew on the scene saw a man and woman leave the home with their hands raised. Police said three people were detained for questioning. Officers were searching for a fourth person in relation to the incident.There were no reports of injuries. 10News is monitoring breaking developments. 611

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police are searching for a suspect who they say tried to sexually assault a woman before stealing her car.According to police, the incident happened on the 1700 block of India Street at 4:33 a.m. Sunday.Police say the man walked into Cafe Italia while the victim was cleaning. The man then pushed the woman into a back room where he tried to sexually assault her while wielding a Bowie knife.The woman was able to fight the suspect off before he grabbed her car keys and drove out of the area in the tan, 1998 GMC Jimmy with California license plate 7VOY594.The man is described as a 25 to 30-year-old white male with a medium complexion who is five feet, five inches tall with a thin build, has dark, curly hair and is unshaven.The suspect was last seen wearing a white baseball cap with black stripes and stars resembling an American flag, a black short-sleeved t-shirt and tan shorts with dark, high-top tennis shoes.Anyone with information is asked to call San Diego Police’s Sex Crimes Unit at 619-531-2210. 1060
