(AP) — The pilot of a small plane that crashed into a Southern California house and burned Thursday has died, authorities said.A father and child inside the home escaped without injuries after the late morning crash.The single-engine Cirrus SR22 went down in Upland, east of Los Angeles. Brandon Alexander is considered to be armed and dangerous.Brandon Alexander may have also taken the child's mother, according to Upland Police. Police say she is a white female in her early thirties. She has a restraining order against him, police said.Brandon Alexander is described as 5' 10" and 240 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. TULSA -- Dash cam video released Monday shows a man smash a Tulsa Police Department vehicle with a large pipe.Police said on Aug. 7 around 4 a.m., officers were dispatched to Brookhaven Hospital for a patient attempting to leave.The man was later found on I-244 eastbound.The man is seen smashing an officer's window. Police said the man was experiencing a mental health crisis.The man was tackled and officers returned him to the hospital.No arrests were made.  475

Tropical Storm Josephine became the 10th named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season Thursday, marking the earliest “J” storm to ever form in the basin.While Josephine is not a particularly noteworthy story due to its strength and location, the storm indicates that the 2020 hurricane season could go down as a record-breaking one. Analysis released by Colorado State University last week forecasts 24 named tropical systems in 2020, which would make it the second-most active season in history.If there are 24 named systems in 2020, it would become just the second time the National Hurricane Center would exhaust its name list. In that case, the National Hurricane Center would use the Greek alphabet for any remaining storms at the end of the season.Josephine does not pose an immediate threat to land, as of Thursday evening. The storm packs top winds of 45 MPH, and is in the open Atlantic well east of the Caribbean Islands.
