Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said this week he is in favor of passing another round of economic stimulus for Americans, but suggested the funds be targeted to a smaller number of Americans.McConnell told reporters on Monday that the next round of stimulus funds should cover Americans making less than ,000 per year, which is far lower than the threshold for stimulus funds during the last round of aid, which many Americans received in April and May.Congress is currently on recess, but is expected to begin discussions on another round of aid when it reconvenes July 20.In May, House Democrats approved a stimulus plan, which included ,200 checks for those making less than ,000 a year. Several people were hurt in an "inmate-on-inmate" disturbance at CoreCivic's Red Rock Correctional Facility in Eloy, Arizona on Sunday morning.Twelve inmates were taken to outside medical facilities for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, and one staff member was treated and released for minor injuries sustained in the incident, according to Jonathan Burns, CoreCivic's Director of Public Affairs.Burns says the disturbance happened just after 8:30 a.m. local time.The facility has been secured and all inmates and staff are accounted for, Burns said. CoreCivic is working with the Arizona Department of Corrections and local law enforcement as they continue to investigate.   724

Any guest who threw food or was otherwise disruptive was asked to leave. Working with police, our staff made certain that every guest left the restaurant through the front door of the restaurant. We have turned the security surveillance video over to the West Bloomfield police. South Carolina is in mourning after a sheriff's deputy died nearly three weeks after she was wounded in a standoff, the Florence County Sheriff's Office said.Deputy Farrah Turner, who passed away on Monday, was one of seven officers who were shot when authorities tried to serve a search warrant on Oct. 3.Another officer, Sgt. Terrence Carraway, was also killed when officials say 74-year-old Frederick Hopkins opened fire on them."Farrah was the ultimate professional, excelling at everything she did," Sheriff Kenney Boone said in a press release. Several United States government agencies issued an alert on Friday to financial institutions about a North Korea-backed hacking group known as the BeagleBoyz.In a joint statement, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Department of the Treasury, and the U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) said the hackers steal money through fraudulent bank transfers and ATM cashouts throughout several countries, including the United States."Since February 2020, North Korea has resumed targeting banks in multiple countries to initiate fraudulent international money transfers and ATM cashouts," the agencies said in the release. "The recent resurgence follows a lull in bank targeting since late 2019. This advisory provides an overview of North Korea’s extensive, global cyber-enabled bank robbery scheme, a short profile of the group responsible for this activity, in-depth technical analysis, and detection and mitigation recommendations to counter this ongoing threat to the Financial Services sector."Active since 2014, the group stole million from the Bank of Bangladesh in 2016, and were responsible for the FastCash ATM attacks in 2018, the agencies said.The group has attempted to steal nearly billion since at least 2015, the alert said."Any BeagleBoyz robbery directed at one bank implicates many other financial services firms in both the theft and the flow of illicit funds back to North Korea," the alert stated.According to the warning, the hackers have also targeted financial institutions in Argentina, Chile, India, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, and Spain. 1629
