(KGTV) -- Three people were rushed to the hospital early Monday morning after a head-on collision on a Spring Valley street.According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened in the 9100 block of Jamacha Boulevard, near Kempton Street, at around 1:30 a.m.While the events that led to the crash remain under investigation, CHP officials confirmed two cars collided head-on and left the drivers of each vehicle trapped.Emergency crews took about 15 minutes to extricate the drivers and a passenger from the wreckage. Social media company TikTok says they plan on hiring around 10,000 people in the U.S. over the next three years, according to multiple outlets. The announcement comes after lawmakers and Trump administration officials have questioned the company’s data collection methods and threatened to ban TikTok.TikTok currently employs about 1,400 people in the U.S., a huge increase already over the 500 employees they had on January 1, 2020, according to Axios."These are good-paying jobs that will help us continue to build a fun and safe experience and protect our community's privacy," a TikTok spokesperson said in a statement provided to CNN. Seven children have died as a result of adenovirus at the Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Haskell, New Jersey.The Wanaque facility has been "instructed not to admit any new patients until the outbreak ends and they are in full compliance," according to the health department.The timing of the deaths is not clear. The health department was notified of respiratory illness at the center on October 9 and Wanaque sent parents of children at the facility letters about the infection on October 19 according to Nicole Kirgan at the New Jersey Department of Health.On Tuesday the New Jersey Department of Health announced the death of six pediatric residents at the center and the infection of 12 additional residents. Wednesday the department announced an additional pediatric death.The New Jersey Department of Health said it's an ongoing outbreak investigation and workers were at the facility Tuesday. A team at the facility on Sunday found minor handwashing deficiencies. "The Department continues to work very closely with the facility to ensure that all infection control measures are being followed," the Wanaque facility said in a statement Wednesday.The exact ages of the children are not being released to protect patient privacy, Nicole Kirgan, a spokeswoman for the department of health said, adding that the age ranges for the deceased children was "from a toddler through young adults - but most are under 18."Adenoviruses can cause mild to severe illness, though serious illness is less common. Los Angeles County shut down outdoor dining last Wednesday for a minimum of three weeks due to a surge in infection rates.Piero Tarantino owns Parioli Italian Bistro on Highway 101 in Solana Beach.He's down to just two employees, with the restaurant open only four days a week."We have a problem retaining employees cause we have to cut their hours since we don't have a lot of business, and we have to close a few days cause there are not enough sales to even pay one employee," said Tarantino.He says outdoor dining was going well in the summer, but it's a struggle now that cooler weather is here even when using heaters. "It's not comfortable cause you have heat coming from one side, but then the rest of your body is cold," said Tarantino.Restaurants across the country are trying to continue with outdoor dining even as the weather gets cold. Some owners are getting creative using everything from igloos, to individual pods, to tents and canopies.Dr. Anne Rimoin is an epidemiologist at UCLA. She said eating outside is only safe if you are truly outside."The issue is it needs to be completely open, wide open, ventilation if you have a roof, if you have sides, that's not outdoors, outdoors means in the open air," said Dr. Rimoin.
