(KGTV) -- In a document detailing devastation that could swarm California by 2100, the State of California Monday released its fourth climate change assessment.Some of the details divulged in the report include two-thirds of Southern California beaches the state says could completely disappear. And if that’s not enough, wildfires could nearly double in size by 2100, according to the California Natural Resources Agency.In a quote on the report, Governor Jerry Brown took a swipe at President Trump saying, “In California, facts and science still matter,” seemingly referring to the Trump administration’s stance on environmental issues. Brown went on to label the finding an “apocalyptic threat” in a dramatic response to the assessment.The report isn’t all doom and gloom, however, and offers a glimmer of hope as to how the state hopes to respond to the threat.Since the release of the third climate change assessment in 2012, the Golden State has experienced several history-making natural events, which include a five-year drought, flooding and increasingly-destructive wildfires.The report suggests that the extreme events will only continue to worsen in the future. 1201

"But that did not happen for customers, who bought tickets, memberships, and vacation packages for Defendants' attractions. Instead, Defendants failed to honor and perform their duties, responsibilities, and obligations under their uniform standardized agreements with their customers, thereby breaching their contracts, but nonetheless pocketed their customers' money and converted it for their own use."A similar class-action lawsuit was filed against SeaWorld last month in San Diego federal court. SAN DIEGO — (KGTV) -- The Del Mar Fairgrounds is weighing its legal options after the KAABOO Music announced that it would move to Petco Park in 2020, the venue's CEO told 10News.Fairgrounds chief executive Tim Fennell declined a formal interview, but pointed to language in the Fairgrounds' contract with KAABOO that blocks the festival from holding a similar event within a 75-mile radius the year it cancels the contract. (KGTV) -- With 35 days until the election, it appears California voters are in favor of eight state propositions that impact everything from property taxes to parole to rent control. Still, for most propositions, the support is not enough to feel comfortable. A new ABC-10News-Union-Tribune scientific poll shows eight propositions leading outside the poll's 5.4 percent margin of error. Still, pollster Survey USA says that could change because typically opposition to all ballot measures increase as election day gets closer. Then again, it says 2020 is not a typical election year. Thad Kousser, a political analyst at UC San Diego, said propositions that do not poll over 50 percent have an increased chance in ultimately failing, even if they are up."The more people learn about propositions and their details, the less there is to like about them," he said. "Sometimes a proposition has one part of it that people find attractive and then other details that they don't like, and as a campaign exposes those, as the No campaign makes that case, then support will drop off."The poll also shows Joe Biden defeating President Trump 59 percent to 32 percent in California. Interestingly, however, the poll says voters who plan to vote in person on election day choose Trump over Biden, 55 to 38. SAN DIEGO — Medical workers from all over San Diego made their way into SDCCU Stadium Wednesday to pick up free Personal Protective Equipment for their small and medium sized practices.The workers got free hand sanitizer, N95 masks, surgical masks, gloves and gowns. "It's really hard to find in stores, online, it's all out, everywhere," said Juana Vasquez, medical assistant at La Mesa Family Medical Groups, who was picking up supplies.Volunteers from the San Diego County Medical Society, UCSD Medical School and the Mira Mesa High School football team handed drivers boxes of the gear in the stadium's parking lot. Medical organizations of 50 or fewer are eligible, and more than 500 of them registered for the event. Dr. Holly Yang, a hospice and palliative care specialist at Scripps and president of the San Diego County Medical Society, said larger hospital systems have been able to source the necessary PPE for its staff. For smaller operations, however, it has been a challenge."Everyone wants to take care of patients," Yang said. "We should not in this country have to be afraid for ourselves and our families. We should have the right equipment. It’s completely inexcusable that this far into the pandemic that that is not available and I’m so grateful that we are able to do this for our small practices."The items came available due to Gov.
