Just three days after James Holzhauer won Jeopardy's 2019 Tournament of Champions, he along with two other past Jeopardy champs have been invited back to participate in an ultimate showdown. Holzhauer will be joined by Ken Jennings, who owns Jeopardy's longest winning streak at 74 games. They will be opposed by Brad Rutter, who has won the most money in Jeopardy history due to his number of tournament wins. Rutter first appeared on Jeopardy in 2000, when Jeopardy limited returning champions to five games. Rutter has since won a number of major Jeopardy tournaments, including the Ultimate Tournament of Champions.Unlike new episodes of Jeopardy which are syndicated, these episodes will air on ABC during primetime. It took a few hours for the news to be released, but by all indications, Ryan Newman is okay. NASCAR officials said Newman had non life-threatening injuries following a horrific crash at the end of the Daytona 500 on Monday.Newman is in serious condition after being transported to the hospital. As Newman approached the finish line of the Daytona 500 on Monday, he was set to win his first Daytona 500 in 12 years. But a nudge from behind sent Newman into the wall as his competitors crossed the finish line. The crash allowed Denny Hamlin to win his second straight Daytona 500. As Hamlin celebrated the win, attention quickly turned to Newman, whose car spun out of control and burst into flames. After Newman's car struck the wall and flipped, it was then struck at full speed by Corey LaJoie's vehicle, causing Newman's car to flip again. Emergency crews raced to rescue Newman following the stunning crash.The celebration for Hamlin was subdued following the race."I think we take for granted sometimes how safe the cars are," Hamlin said. "But No. 1, we're praying for Ryan. Worked really well with Ryan through this whole race, and obviously he got turned right there."Ryan Blaney, who came in second place, described his view of the incident. "We pushed Newman there to the lead, and then we got a push from the 11 (Danny Hamlin's car), and I made a move off 4 (Kevin Harvick's car) on Newman and he blocked it and I kind of went low and he blocked that, so then I was committed to just pushing him to the win and trying to have a Ford win it, and I don't know, we just got bumpers hooked up wrong and turned him," Blaney said. "I hope he's all right. Looked pretty good. Definitely was trying to push him to a win. I don't want to say those things happen. INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana schools won’t have to place an “In God We Trust” sign in every classroom in the state, after some changes were made to a Senate proposal Wednesday.Sen. Dennis Kruse, R-Auburn introduced Senate Bill 131, which originally mandated each school place a poster or framed photo in every classroom and library that shows the following:The phrase, “In God We Trust”United States flagIndiana flagSB 131 was amended Wednesday afternoon to change the language in the bill and make it optional for the school corporations to put up the posters. It was also changed to state that if a school does put up such a poster, they must raise the funds on their own – instead of using public funds.If the bill sounds familiar, it’s because Kruse introduced a similar bill last year. Last year’s bill also called for every school including a study of the Bible as an elective course in its curriculum. The 2019 bill was vastly different at the end of the process than the one Kruse initially introduced.Sen. Mark Stoops, D-Bloomington, spoke against the bill in the last committee hearing, and did so again Wednesday."The Declaration of Independence noted that the power of the government is not from God, but from the people,” he said. “I think it's important to understand what the Founding Fathers believed when they had the clause that there must be a separation of church and state.
