ROUTT COUNTY, Colo. — Austin Eubanks, who survived the Columbine High School massacre and inspired others to overcome addiction later in life, was found dead at his home in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, overnight, the Routt County Coroner confirmed Saturday afternoon. He was 37 years old. Routt County Coroner Rob Ryg confirmed to KMGH that Eubanks died either late Friday night or early Saturday morning. There were no signs of foul play, Ryg said. A contractor says the man suspected of killing a University of Utah student who vanished nearly two weeks ago had asked him to build a secret soundproof room in his home.Ayoola Ajayi, 31, was arrested Friday in connection with the disappearance of 23-year-old Mackenzie Lueck.
