SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A local sailor who tested positive for coronavirus is sharing details of his ordeal online."I'm coming to you from my patio, not out in public," said Nichoas Moore.Moore posted a video on his Facebook page Sunday afternoon. "I got my results back just a little big ago. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A pilot suffered minor injuries Wednesday after a small plane landed hard at Fallbrook Airpark and skidded off a runway.The incident involving a small aircraft was reported just before 9:55 a.m. at the Fallbrook Airpark on 2155 Air Park Rd., authorities said.According to a North County Fire Protection District official, the plane was in the air when it experienced mechanical problems. The pilot landed at the airport, but the plane skidded 50-70 feet off the end of the runway and came to rest in a dirt area.The plane did not catch fire, the department said.The department said the pilot, who was the only person on board, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Palomar Medical Center for treatment.ABC 10New learned the FAA will investigate the incident. 788

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A new grant for City Heights businesses in San Diego is aimed at helping small businesses get back on their feet after pandemic impacts.The City Heights Business Relief Fund has so far grown to 0,000 and that money will go to businesses in the area. Each business can get up to ,000. To be eligible, the business must be located within City Heights. The priority is on businesses owned by women and/or minorities that are already established in the community who have not received other relief funds. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A new report paints a grim picture of the housing supply in San Diego.According to numbers just released by the Southern California Real Estate Research Council, housing permits in San Diego County dropped by 43% through the first six months of 2019, compared to the same period in 2018.So far this year, there have been 2,037 units of housing permitted in San Diego."We are in deep trouble in housing production," says Borre Winckel, the President of the Building Industry Association of San Diego County. "We can't build the housing for the people that need it most."Winckel says decades of increased costs from state and local fees, regulations, labor costs and more have led to this point. He says it's too expensive for developers to build anything that the average San Diegan can afford. He says that's pushing the "workforce" population of teachers, first responders and military out of the market."There will be homelessness, and there will be more workforce displacement to Temecula and points beyond," says Winckel.
