You’ve probably noticed new electronic payment screens when purchasing coffee or other items at a counter. With the new systems, do customers end up tipping more?  An automatic tipping system called Toast says since 2017, quick service restaurants using their system have received tips on nearly 60 percent of credit card orders, compared to 28 percent previously.    "The basic idea is to make it very easy for you, very convenient for you, and create an expectation that this is a norm,” says Dr. Kevin Masters, a professor at CU Denver. “And this is what’s usually done."   Dr. Masters says the psychology behind the process is to cause stress for customers, which makes them tip no matter how much they decide.   "These ones where you are at a coffee shop or taxi places like that, you're given this automatic tip, especially if there is a line behind you there is a pressure," he says.   If you think you're the only one who feels awkward in this situation, you're not alone. Nathan, who works as a barista, says the feeling is mutual. But he does believe he gets tipped more with automatic tipping screens.    Dr. Master's says whether or not you tip, it's all psychological with the pressure you feel."Most of us, I think, would rather just get it over with,” he says. “So, if it costs me a few more cents on this cup of coffee, [no] big deal."    1427

"Brebeuf says the Archdiocese's decision will not change their identity and they plan to continue to serve as a Catholic school in the Indianapolis community."Whereas the Archdiocese of Indianapolis may choose to no longer attend or participate in the school’s Masses and formal functions, Brebeuf Jesuit is, and will always be, a Catholic Jesuit school. YUMA, Ariz. (KGTV) -- The Two U.S. Marines killed in a helicopter crash near Yuma, Arizona Sunday have been identified. The U.S. Marine Corps said Monday that the victims were 34-year-old Major Matthew M. Weigand of Ambler, Pennsylvania and 30-year-old Captain Travis W. Brannon of Nashville, Tennessee. Both men were pilots previously assigned to Camp Pendleton. "It is a somber day for the entire Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command (MAGTFTC) as we mourn this tremendous loss. Our thoughts and prayers remain with their families and loved ones during this extremely difficult time," said Brig. Gen. Roger B. Turner Jr.According to ABC, both servicemen were killed while flying an AH-IZ Viper helicopter during a routine training mission. On Wednesday, she got an anonymous letter from one of her neighbors asking her to take it down.“It’s my freedom. This is my yard,” said McDade.McDade argues taking the flag down is against her First Amendment right.Part of the letter sent to her says, “Flying the Trump flag, you tell all your neighbors that you disrespect them.”“I don’t disrespect anybody in my neighborhood, I treat everybody the same,” said McDade.The letter goes on to say that removing the flag will bring peace to the neighborhood. “People have to understand I don’t stop them from doing what they want to do,” said McDade. “They have no right to stop me from what I want to do in my yard.”Bottom line, she thinks the letter is foolish. “Quit being so negative about everything. Everyone has a right to their opinion, and I usually keep my opinion to myself, but that’s my flag and it’s staying,” said McDade.She said what she puts in her yard is her business.“Even if my neighbors wanted to put a Hillary (Clinton) sign or an Elizabeth Warren sign in their yard, I don’t care.
