Tofu, the red panda — a recent addition at?Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium — died Tuesday, according to a press release from the zoo today.The preliminary pathology report indicated that the 3-year-old red panda, which arrived in Omaha from the Detroit Zoo in October 2017 and joined the new Asian Highlands exhibit in May, likely died of a condition that is known to afflict the species, according to the release.Tofo had excess fluid in her abdomen and chest cavity, "a finding that is most commonly observed in cases of heart failure or cardiomyopathy... Tents stretches as far as the eye can see as migrants hid beneath tarps in a makeshift camp while waiting for the rain to pass. Mud puddles still surround the camp as those inside wait for another band of rain to sweep through Tijuana later Thursday evening. Outdoor showers were set up in the camp. When asked whether or not the journey was worth it, many of the migrants told 10News conditions at the camp are better than conditions in their home countries. Many with the camp say they’re also concerned as more and more migrants come down with colds. Face masks were passed out throughout the week to try to protect those who haven’t caught a cold. Thomson Reuters is eliminating 12 percent of its global workforce.The media company is drastically shrinking its staff, cutting 3,200 jobs and closing 55 offices by 2020. Reuters says it will employ roughly 23,800 people — down from its current workforce of 27,000.Reuters revealed its plans for the future at its annual investor day in Toronto. Three explosions that occurred when people picked up packages outside their residences appear to be connected, Austin, Texas, city Police Chief Brian Manley said Monday at a news conference.A Monday morning explosion killed a 17-year-old African-American boy and also injured a woman at the house. A second Monday explosion left a 75-year-old woman in critical condition, the chief said. A March 2 blast killed a 39-year-old African-American man.All the explosions occurred when people who lived at the residences went outside and picked up packages, Manley said. The packages were not delivered by the postal service or delivery services like UPS or FedEx, he said."The evidence makes us believe these incidents are related," he said, saying investigators have not come up with a motive or whether anybody has claimed responsibility. It's not known if the victims knew each other or if they were targeted, he said.Police also have not decided if these are hate crimes, but said that's a real possibility of the victims' races."We're not ruling anything out at this point," he said. "We're willing to investigate any avenue."Authorities have only identified one victim. Anthony Stephan House, 39, died from injuries in the March 2 explosion, police said.
