Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth, Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser, City of Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian, and Major General Paul Knapp held a news conference on Monday to update the public on the Jacob Blake case and police brutality protests across the city.Sheriff Beth said that close to 200 people were arrested last week.He added that half those that were arrested were "people from outside the community."The Kenosha Police Department, who was not at the press conference, released a press release on Sunday on Twitter detailing the arrests.In the statement, the department said 175 people were arrested. 102 of those arrests were people with "listed addresses from outside Kenosha. 702

KENOSHA, Wisc. — Lucas Jundt is a junior quarterback at Kenosha Indian Trail High School, in Wisconsin who just happens to have prosthetic legs."Since my Dad showed me football, I'm like, I'm going to play that sport!" Jundt said."Yeah, everybody on the team is like 'why is he getting all the fame.' And I'm like, 'sorry for having no feet. I guess they just like that type of stuff!' And it inspires kids to, you know what? Hey, I can get off of my lazy butt and go out there and do something that I love," Jundt said.To his teammates, Jundt is just one of the guys. "They're like 'no mercy for you. We're just gonna go at you.' And I'm like, 'that's fine. I love it,'" Jundt said.Jundt's story of how he got to Kenosha Indian Trail's football field is the stuff of movies. "My parents abandoned me at five days old. I was born with a condition called fibula hemimelia. I don't know if I'm pronouncing that right, sorry doctors! But I was born with that. That's basically missing a fibula," Jundt explained.Born in Inner Mongolia, he was adopted by a Kenosha couple at age seven."They lost three kids. Two to an hour of life. And one for six years. Cancer, and yeah, it was just rough, they went through a lot of hardship and pain. But God said 'you know what? This is not the end of your story. Your story is still continuing. And I am going to let you adopt a son, and two more kids,'" Jundt said of his adoptive parents.Jundt says his faith keeps him going, and remembers a time talking to another media outlet about it. JUPITER, Fla. - Misdemeanor prostitution charges were dropped Thursday against New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and 24 other defendants linked to a spa sex sting in Jupiter.The charges stemmed from a police investigation at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter conducted in 2019.Jupiter police claimed Kraft visited the now-defunct spa twice in January 2019, including the morning of the AFC Championship game.Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg held a virtual news conference regarding the case.RELATED: How detectives gathered evidence inside Orchids of Asia day spa | Woman accused of performing sex act on Kraft arrestedThe investigation led to the arrests of several men and women, including misdemeanor charges against Kraft.Aronberg said charges were dropped against all 25 defendants accused of misdemeanor charges of soliciting prostitution."It is not a lack of will that caused us to drop the charges in the spa cases," Aronberg said.There are still pending felony charges against the owner and manager of the spa. "Despite the setback today, our office will continue our work to make our community safer by holding accountable those who engage in criminal activity including sex crimes." "I stand behind the decision to file the cases."Aronberg said four other individuals, besides Kraft, were recorded and received legitimate non-sexual massages. Two of those four were women, and the court said that the police should have never recorded the women, and thus every other video must be discarded. The state attorney said they could not prove human trafficking without a reasonable doubt, but there was evidence of human trafficking "in the overall investigation." KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A man allegedly verbally and physically assaulted a Muslim student at Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City in an incident the FBI is describing as a potential hate crime.The student was walking in a stairwell in the Humanities Building on the campus around 3 p.m. on April 3. The student said she was walking down the stairway when an unknown male voice uttered a derogatory statement toward the woman.When the woman turned around, she said the suspect struck her in the face, causing her to fall down the stairs.The woman reported the incident to campus police, who notified the FBI.In a statement, a Metropolitan Community College spokeswoman says the incident happened on a day that was part of an international campaign to "scare and encourage violence against Muslims."The FBI said Wednesday it’s offering a reward of up to ,000 leading to the arrest of the suspect in the attack.Anyone with information can call the FBI at (816) 512-8200 or the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-8477. 1036
