SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Flu activity is slowing down throughout San Diego County, the County Health and Human Services Agency said Wednesday.Across the county, 14 more flu deaths have been identified over the last week, though 10 of those fatalities happened earlier in the season and have just now been confirmed.A total of 283 flu deaths have occurred in the county this season. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Federal investigators are looking for a woman and getaway driver who attempted to rob a South Bay bank last December.A female suspect approached a bank teller just after 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 7, 2017, at the Bank of America located at 605 Saturn Boulevard in Imperial Beach. The woman presented a note to the teller, demanding money, according to the FBI.However, the teller refused to comply with the woman's demands.The woman left without any money and met an awaiting driver outside before fleeing the area.FBI investigators described the suspect as a Hispanic woman between 25- and 35-years-old, about 5-feet 6-inches tall, and with medium build. She was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket with a hood and gold-rimmed sunglasses.The getaway car is described as a silver Ford Mustang with a black racing stripe down the center. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Get ready for sunny days at SeaWorld this summer, as the cast of a television favorite comes to San Diego.SeaWorld will host Sesame Street favorites including Elmo, Cookie Monster, and others with themed floats, music, and two performances along the parade route during the Sesame Street Party Parade.The parade will feature 10 massive floats depicting the areas kids know and love, like Mr. Hooper's Store and the Count's Castle.More than 20 dancers will jump and jive alongside Elmo down the parade route, along with a cast of furry friends.During the two mid-parade shows, performers will jump rope, hula hoop, and groove to guests' delight. One show will star Rosita, a Sesame Street favorite known for her guitar skills. The parade can be seen on weekends running from May 25 - Sept. 1 at the park. 830

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Heavy rains and wind across San Diego County hit one Coronado business particularly hard.The Coronado Tree Farm had only been open for about a week before Thursday's Grinch of a storm rolled through the area, heavily damaging the small farm at the ferry landing. The farm posted on Facebook that it would have to close for the season, before it could fully deliver some Christmas joy."Sad to say that the Tree Farm has to be closed down," the farm wrote. "The rain destroyed all our inventory and commercial props, generator, hay, games, prizes, tables, fencing, tents etc... We would have to start all over again in order to run it."Steve Albert, co-owner of the Coronado Flower Lady, told 10News they tried to curtail any damages but the weather simply took hold."I started trying to get everything I could under the big tent, and while I was doing that, one would break lose, and then another one," Albert said. "The whole thing is just kind of anchored together. The whole thing just went."Some of the trees and decorations are in good condition and will be offered up to anyone. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- High surf is creating dangerous conditions for swimmers hitting the beach throughout San Diego County. A High Surf Advisory is in effect San Diego coastal cities from Monday morning at 8 A.M. until Tuesday night at 10 P.M.Just before 10 A.M. Monday, SDFD Lifeguards shut down the Ocean Beach Pier.They are also cautioning any swimmers and surfers who are not advanced to stay out of the water until the advisory expires.Many advanced surfers tell 10News they have been looking forward to this day for a long time. Those who hit the water Monday took advantage of the seven to 11 foot waves along the coast, saying it’s not just the swell and the direction but the time between the waves and the decreased winds that make for great surf conditions. "The quality and the length its just a great day a great day for everybody,” one surfer tells 10 News.One group of surfers found out first-hand how dangerous these conditions are. They were taking a boat to surf off of Point Loma when the waves flipped in Monday afternoon. The surfers escaped without injury, but the boat had to be towed back to shore. 1130
