While addressing the summit in his keynote speech, Chinese President Xi Jinping called on all BRICS members to work hand in hand for common development.

Twelve heads of state have already confirmed participation and requested to address the gathering while the event is likely to have around 100 speakers overall.

Molefe said the agreement is one of the various country-to- country collaboration agreements intended to strengthen economic and trade relations among the different BRICS countries.

During his meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi here on Saturday, Choummaly Saygnasone, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and president of Laos, hailed China's remarkable achievements in development and continuously growing influence in the world.
