BEACH LAKE, Pa. – It may look like a regular house from the outside, but inside Meghan Buselli’s bustling home, one room looks just like a regular classroom.“I have Landon who's eight, Sawyer who's six and Levi who's five and then I have two little girls that I fit in there somehow,” said the mom of five, who has a college degree in elementary education.It’s a degree she initially thought she would use by going back to teach in the classroom. However, when the time came for her oldest child to go to school, she had second thoughts.“The age of five came super fast, quicker than I thought,” she said, “and I wasn't ready to let go of our time.”So, she decided to home-school her children instead. It’s a decision that – at the time – she had no idea would end up attracting attention from around the country.“I think parents thought that, you know, we need to think of different options for our children,” Buselli said.That is how, through social media, she ended up in the role of home-schooling helper to parents looking to do the same, in the wake of COVID-19.“They say, ‘Oh, well, I don't have a degree in that,’ and I say, ‘You know what? Think of your grandmother's favorite recipe that you use year after year. Did she go to culinary school? BOONE COUNTY, Ind. -- An Indiana Sheriff's deputy who was shot while assisting police early Friday morning will not survive his injuries according to the Boone County Sheriff.  Deputy Jacob Pickett was critically injured in a shooting while assisting the Lebanon Police Department with a pursuit of a wanted individual. He is being kept alive on life support so that his organs can be donated. At least one other law enforcement officer on the scene returned fire, striking one of the suspects.Pickett was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis where he was last listed in critical condition. The injured suspect, identified as Anthony Bumgarht, 21, is in stable condition at this time. Two other suspects, John D. Baldwin Sr., 55, and John D, Baldwin Jr., 28, both fled after the shooting. Baldwin Jr. was arrested a short time later after a wrong-way pursuit on I-65.   926

BOSTON (AP) — A Boston veterinary hospital got quite a surprise recently when a family brought in their bulldog after he stopped eating.The Angell Animal Medical Center found 19 baby pacifiers in the dog's stomach.It started in April when the Wellesley family noticed that their 3-year-old dog, Mortimer, started getting nauseous before meals. His owner, Emily Shanahan, brought Mortimer to the vet, who prescribed medicine to take care of the issue.But it didn't help and Mortimer eventually stopped eating entirely.Shanahan went to Angell, where they took an X-ray and discovered the pacifiers.Vets think Mortimer had been taking the pacifiers from Shanahan's two children over the course of months.The pacifiers were removed using a medical scope that did not require surgery. Mortimer recovered and is back at home. 827
