"This is a guy who wants to be speaker and he's so thin-skinned that he can't take criticism from another member of Congress? I think that speaks for itself."Things appeared to calm down quickly and Crowley could be seen laughing and joking around with colleagues soon after. Crowley, who's widely seen as friendly and mild-mannered among Democrats, was not available for comment. His spokeswoman acknowledged that the two men got into a heated conversation but argued there was no escalation.Earlier Thursday, the House chaplain was re-appointed to his position?so that he could remain chaplain after he rescinded his resignation last week and it was accepted by Ryan. Tensions have run high as members of parties questioned why Ryan requested the chaplain to resign last month. Following the outcry, Conroy rescinded his resignation and accused Ryan's chief of staff of suggesting to him "maybe it's time that we had a Chaplain that wasn't a Catholic" -- an allegation Ryan's chief of staff denied.Ryan accepted Conroy's decision to stay and said Tuesday morning -- before the evening's heated exchange -- that he had confidence the chamber could move past the issue."We talked about how to improve the services going forward," Ryan said during his weekly news conference. KEYSTONE, Colo. -- A North Carolina man died after hitting a tree while skiing at Keystone Resort in Colorado over the weekend.The Summit County Sheriff's Office said CPR was in progress when deputies responded to the resort shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday.The 32-year-old skier from Raleigh had been on an intermediate trail when he struck the tree, according to the resort. Keystone didn't say which trail the crash occurred on. The victim was transported to Saint Anthony Keystone Medical Clinic, where he was pronounced dead."Keystone Resort, Keystone Ski Patrol and the entire Vail Resorts family extend our deepest sympathy and support to our guest's family and friends," Keystone Resort Vice President and General Manager Geoff Buchheister said in a written statement.The skier has not yet been identified. 833

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens has been indicted by a grand jury in St. Louis on a felony invasion of privacy charge. The St. Louis City Attorney's Office confirmed Greitens was taken into custody by police in St. Louis. NBC station KSDK?reports in St. Louis reports that a judge granted his release. Court documents accuse Greitens of knowingly photographing an unidentified person in a state of partial or full nudity without consent and when the victim would have had a reasonable expectation of privacy. The incident allegedly occurred on March 21, 2015.If convicted, Greitens could face up to four years in prison. Last month, Greitens admitted to having an affair with a woman in March 2015.   778

Just because you're bankrupt doesn't mean you don't need a hand during the holiday season.Toys R Us, which filed for bankruptcy on Monday night, announced Thursday that it is looking to fill at least 13,000 positions nationwide for the upcoming holiday season.The toy retailer didn't give the total number of seasonal workers it plans to hire, but said it is looking for 3,800 workers in the New York area, 2,400 in greater Los Angeles as well as 2,400 at a warehouse in Groveport, Ohio that is run by DHL. It is also looking for about 1,000 workers each in the Philadelphia, Chicago and Boston markets as well as 900 work at home call center employees.Hiring workers just for the holidays will be harder for retailers this year since unemployment at at 4.4%, near a 16-year low. There are currently a record number of unfilled job openings according to Labor Department statistics. To fill the jobs in the current environment, Toys R Us has sweetened its pay package to offer employees weekend pay rates on peak holiday shopping days, as well as additional employee discounts said spokesman Joseph Contrino.Earlier this week Walmart, the nation's largest private sector employer, said that instead of hiring seasonal employees this year it will give?its existing part-time employees more hours.Toys R Us has nearly 1,000 Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores across the United States and Canada, and filed for bankruptcy protection on Monday. JAMUL, Calif. (KGTV) -- Cal Fire crews are responding to a three-acre vegetation fire that broke out near the 16100 block of Skyline Truck Trail in Lyons Valley. The fire started around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night. The fire is burning in heavy fuels, according to Cal Fire. No structures are threatened. This comes in the midst of strong Santa Ana winds across the county. 379
