John Billings, was Bergdahl's platoon leader in Afghanistan. He was shot in the leg, and his K-9 partner, Remco, was shot in the face and killed."I thought I was dead," said Hatch, who now walks with a heavy limp after 18 surgeries. This year their gifts are reaching farther, partnering with the non-profit Build A Miracle, to give presents to kids in need in Tijuana."It takes ,000 to build and furnish homes for families in need in Tijuana, Mexico," 13-year-old Gabriel said. He and his family raised money and sponsored homes in the past.
