A Los Angeles doorbell camera captured the gut-wrenching screams of a woman police say they believe may have been kidnapped, but it did not capture images of what caused her calls for help.Witnesses in the Leimert Park neighborhood called Los Angeles police Tuesday to report hearing a woman screaming, according to an LAPD news release."Help me," a woman's voice can be heard screaming in the footage, which shows only a dark street from a porch. "Somebody help me, please."A car then races into and out of the frame.Witnesses saw what police say may be a four-door, white Toyota Prius with plastic wrap over the front passenger side window speed off with two people inside. The driver, described as male, was pulling the hair back of a woman with dark braided hair in the passenger seat as she screamed, a witness reported to LAPD.The driver was heard shouting, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," police said."If you have seen or have any information regarding the identity of the female or male in the video, please contact Southwest Area Detectives at 213-485-2197," police said. 1083

A 4.9-magnitude earthquake was reported near Ridgecrest, California, on Friday morning -- one week after a 7.1-magnitude temblor struck Southern California, the US Geological Survey said. The region was originally hit on July 4 with a 6.4 earthquake, followed by a 7.1-magnitude quake the following day.The latest moderate earthquake briefly rattled CNN's Los Angeles bureau.Last week's major earthquake was centered 11 miles northeast of Ridgecrest, the USGS said. It unleashed 11 times the amount of energy of the previous day's quake, also centered near Ridgecrest, said CNN Meteorologist Brandon Miller.Though area residents are used to earthquakes, the tremor last Friday night swayed buildings and cracked streets and foundations, sending terrified locals into the streets. The shaking was felt as far away as Mexico and Las Vegas, according to the USGS.Ridgecrest, a desert town, is home to 28,000 people. The region at one point saw an average of one aftershock per minute since Friday's quake, according to the US Geological Survey website.More than 4,700 quakes have occurred since July 4, said USGS geophysicist John Bellini.The-CNN-Wire? & ? 2019 Cable News Network, Inc., a Time Warner Company. A ground search team in the Indian Himalayas has spotted five bodies on the unnamed peak where eight climbers are believed to have gone missing a week ago.Pithoragarh District Magistrate Vijay Kumar Jogdande told CNN Monday that the bodies appear to be partially buried in an avalanche on the peak in different locations. The bodies were identified following analysis of photographs taken by a helicopter that conducted an air survey of the area earlier in the day.By Monday afternoon local time, the search operation had stopped for the day, Jogdande said. Now, authorities are formulating a plan to recover the bodies. On Sunday, helicopter teams saw signs of an avalanche on the peak the group were thought to be on, according to two state officials. On Monday a lone chopper went to recce the area and its crew discovered the backpack at an elevation of about 5,000 meters.Jogdande said it was likely the missing team had been caught up in a "huge avalanche.""The chances of survival are almost zero now," he said. The missing climbers -- four Britons, two Americans, an Australian and their Indian liaison officer -- went missing in the region of Nanda Devi East, one of the highest peaks in India at just over 7,400 meters (24,000 feet.)The group was attempting to scale a previously unclimbed and unnamed peak believed to be about 6,477 meters (21,250 feet) high, according to 1393
