BEIJING/KATHMANDU, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- The new height of Mount Qomolangma, the world's highest peak, is 8,848.86 meters, according to a joint announcement by China and Nepal on Tuesday.
The country will improve the "pre-establishment national treatment plus negative list" management system for foreign investment and be fair to both domestic and overseas companies in tax and fee cuts, licensing, and standard-setting, the official said.
It is estimated that ASEAN's digital economy will increase from 1.3 percent of the group's GDP in 2015 to 8.5 percent in 2025, according to ASEAN Secretary-General Lim Jock Hoi.
Major foreign-funded companies include but are not limited to those in electronic and telecommunication equipment sectors, medical devices, automobile, and garment manufacturing. They also include companies related to trade and services, such as wholesale, travel, and elderly care, which have operational challenges, according to the circular.
"China urges the United States to immediately correct its mistakes, withdraw relevant decisions, and stop interfering in Hong Kong affairs and interfering in China's internal affairs. Otherwise, the United States shall bear all consequences," Zheng added.
